The first few rays of sunshine after a chilly night in the mountains bring such positivity to the day.

Overnight, the cold had won the battle with the day’s heat, covering everything with a sparkling dust that glistened and shone in the fresh sunlight. Waking from the comfortable warmth of a down sleeping bag and emerging from the tent, I relished the new light. I embraced its warm touch and watched in awe as it melted the frost away, securing its victory over the cold.

A great variety of can be found in , but the country is most known for its (wild) horses. Due to greedy Europeans and Americans, all disappeared from the country, but in 1992 a lot of horses have been brought back to their natural habitat. In National Park these beautiful creatures continue living in the , while being protected from humans.

Of course we couldn't leave Mongolia without riding a horse ourselves, so we did! We froze to death but still loved it haha.
