The floating islands of Peru’s Lake Titicaca are a unique collection of villages constructed entirely of reeds. They were built by the Uros people who arrived in this region some 3000 years ago and still live on these islands today. The Uros also build large reed boats to move between the floating islands.
You can visit the floating islands on our 14-day Highlights of Peru tour. See the detailed itinerary here: https://www.grasstracksafaris.com/discover-ecuador-peru/highlights-of-peru/
