I cannot say enough about Emerald Cruises. This is my first luxury yacht experience and it surely will not be my last. I’m already looking at other itineraries.
We set sail from Barbados. When we arrived at the port there was an area set up for us to be seated. They immediately checked us in and tagged our bags and took them. We then boarded a fifteen passenger van and were transported directly to gangway for check in.
It was all so streamlined and the staff certainly set the tone for the luxury experience.
The ship is spectacular and so is the crew. I’ll create one post just about the yacht in a few days.
Yesterday we took zodiacs to a beach on Tobago Cays.
People went back and forth all day. Some went to the other side of the island with locals to snorkel with turtles. My daughter and I stayed on the beach all day eating lunch at a local open air grill. It was the most delicious food! Grilled Caribbean lobster, mahi mahi caribbean style and several sides! I thought that it was enough for a family but it was so delicious that I ate it all. So did everyone else!
Today we went to Becquia. Included tour was a small group (8) experience. We got a tour of the island with a guide in the back of a safari jeep. Breathtaking views. Stops included an artisan woodcarver of people’s boats, scenic overlooks, and the airport for the restroom stop. It was very tiny with only small plane services.
We haven’t been on board for barely two days and we’ve experienced so much. I’ve left out local entertainment on board and so much more. I’ll try to be better to post more because this experience is so amazing.
