🌍Gorée Island, PIIR SOUL has been there several times along with taking the tour there back in 2019. There are several Points of No Returns in the Western Hemisphere of Africa and this is just One. Goree Island, is a tiny, car-free island off the coast of Dakar, in Senegal. It had a HUGE role during the 15th- to 19th-century Atlantic slave trade and the energy there is THICK all of these Century’s later. There are under 2k habitants who still live on the island and maintain life there on the water and with the ferry. When we visit, we tend to wear WHITE in Homage to Our Ancestors. We tend to be in a Funkyyy Mood and leave with a heaviness that we have to make an effort to not hold on too. Even though not in that space it is Never to be forgotten and neither is the energy that is felt while there. We are starting here in Remembrance to start off Black History Month...We are Eternally Grateful for all the Sacrifices of Everything and All that was Stolen from THOSE WHOM HAVE GONE BEFORE US ✊🏿✊🏾✊🏽✊🏼
