The Kindertransport memorial is both moving and emotive, it is located within the precincts of Liverpool Street Station. It commemorates the arrival of mainly Jewish unaccompanied youngsters escaping the horrors of ‘Kristallnacht’, the night of the broken glass. On November 9th, 1938, the N***s initiated a campaign of hatred against the Jewish communities in all N***s territories.
It was a night of violence, vandalism and persecution; some would say that it was the beginning of the Holocaust.
It was at Liverpool Street Station, that saw the arrival of 10,000 youngsters
seeking safety and security from the ravishes of persecution and antisemitism. Many of theses youngsters would never see their parents again.
