What's your favourite walk in the Cairngorms?
The gently undulating Beaver Trail meanders through the ancient Rothiemurchus pine forest. This peaceful route passes the Lily Loch (Lochan Mor), where you can see waterlilies growing in the summer, and a small diversion near the halfway point will take you to Loch an Eilein. Keep your eyes peeled for signs of beaver activity at Lochan Mor 🦫

Are you bringing your dog on one of our walking trails? 🐕‍🦺

Four-legged friends are welcome in our woods but we ask that you follow the Scottish Outdoor Access Code's guidelines. These include:

➡️ Always keep your dog in sight and under control, especially around farm animals, if in doubt use a lead
➡️ Keep your dog on a short lead or close at heel to avoid disturbing ground nesting birds

We love the way natural mosses and lichens are slowly claiming this sign. The Insh Marshes are one of the largest and most important inland wetland areas in the UK, supporting a variety of wild and plant life, with 850 hectares is managed by RSPB Scotland. The marshes are home to large populations of breeding waders, including Curlews, Lapwings, Redshanks and Snipes
