Meet our guide Kevin!👋🏼 Kevin began his outdoor career in Mammoth Lakes CA. His love of snow brought him to the mountains, and after a summer in Colorado working on the river, he jump started his guiding career. Kevin has guided everything from zipline tours in Hawaii to glacier tours in Alaska. He landed in Ouray and has been hooked ever since. When not in a canyon, Kevin can be found at Ouray Mountain Sports slinging gear and talking beta with local outdoor enthusiasts. His passion for outdoor recreation and his technical know-how make him an awesome addition to the Canyoning Colorado team. This is Kevin’s fourth season with Canyoning Colorado.

Meet our guide Ryan!👋🏼 Ryan was born and raised in the Salt Lake Valley. Thanks to his dad he grew up climbing and skiing in the Wasatch Mountains near his home. Eventually he got hooked on canyoning and started spending lots of his time exploring Southern Utah’s beautiful slot canyons. This led to him taking up a job as a guide and moving to Southern Utah so he could be closer to the canyons. Now he is in Ouray! Ryan also enjoys splitboarding and bikepacking! He recently returned from a 650 mile bikepacking trip around the perimeter of Iceland! This is Ryans second season with Canyoning Colorado.

Meet our guide Corey!👋🏼 Born and raised in Glenwood Springs, Corey is a Colorado native. She grew up exploring the mountains of her hometown and after she graduated, she moved on to exploring mountains further away. Corey has spent the last eight years traveling, working, and playing as much as possible. Her travels have taken her all over the U.S. as well as internationally. Some of her favorite spots are South East Alaska, Oregon, and New Zealand. This is Corey’s third season with Canyoning Colorado.

So what's new and what should you expect? 1) We are a team of two: husband & wife just as we started. 2) We are moving out of our office and meeting you at the canyon. 3) We are closed on Monday & Tuesday and we are closed in August... Woah, Coronavirus really does change things! If you book a trip, you support a small business. Children Love Canyoning - we offer tours in a natural water park! 1.*NEW* from July 5, 2018 children aged 10+ can join us in Angel Creek. 2. Children aged 12+ can join us in any beginner canyon! 3. Teens aged 16+ that have joined us in a beginner canyon can experience Oak Creek! We have equipment for children to wear, but they must fit the safety equipment to participate in the activity. If you are looking to drop your kids off for a few hours, your child can join our professional instructor in the canyon, so long as participants are over the minimum age. We will need a parent or guardian to sign our waiver prior to them joining the trip. But why not explore canyons and rappel waterfalls together?! Make memories that last forever, and take home photos of your adventure in Ouray. Join us this summer for the ultimate family vacation or weekend getaway!

Canyoning Colorado LLC launched in March 2016; we are an outdoor activity operator that solely focuses on canyoning / canyoneering. We are passionate about canyoning and everything we do encourages safe exploration in a natural environment. Canyoning Colorado works hard to educate its customers to international standards while delivering a fun and exhilarating experience for all.

When you book a trip with Canyoning Colorado you support a small business. As we moved into 2020 we watched the outbreak of COVID-19 take over the world. It became clear that our business, Ouray and the travel and tourism industry would be hit hard. With this in mind we adjusted our operations and have taken a new approach as we move forward with the times and challenges we are faced with.

We have limited spots available, so it is best to book in advance. If you have any questions you can reach out to us. If you decide to join us on a canyoning trip you will see it is a sport that requires you to immerse yourself in a natural environment, and most importantly the present moment. Every challenge has the ability to arise in the canyon; from physical to mental – we will work with you through your fears and excitement as you push your limits in a canyon suited to your ability and skill level. With a selection of beginner-friendly trips, the activity requires no previous experience; our tours are suitable for families, friends, couples, children and groups. Canyoning Colorado will offer something for everyone; we are industry professionals and we invite you to join the adventure.
