Pisgah High School Storm Shelters

The shelters are open, in case they are needed during the storms that are predicted overnight and into the morning. IF the doors are locked, it means that someone has locked them from the inside.
Rules:
1. Absolutely NO pets
2. No smoking or va**ng
3. Please be considerate of others sharing the shelters with you.

Are any of my Pisgah peeps missing a beautiful calico cat? She is hanging out at our house and Shan’s cats are not very thrilled about its presence.
When I started thinking of starting a podcast, this was what I wanted: to capture the stories of our trips in the most natural way possible. This is as close as you can get to sitting around the campfire and hearing the stories told the way that we hear them. It has taken me a little over two years to gather the required equipment, and I am still learning to use it properly, so bear with me. I’ll get there. But this episode was just too good not to put it out there. Even with my uh-oh.
I wish that every episode could be in this format, but with life, jobs, & adult responsibilities, we can just get together so much. So in the future, I hope to have more of these, with the more traditional studio & Zoom formats sprinkled in.

Swamp Trip 2024

Josh Shelton, Larry, & Chanda joined me and Shannon Moore for our first ever ride in the Chief Ladiga Trail. I used to cross this thing all the time, back in the late 90’s while I was driving to Auburn. I’ve always wanted to ride it and today, we did. We did the section from Piedmont to the GA. State Line. 30 miles. That is the farthest that Shan or Josh have ever ridden and the farthest that I have ridden in MANY years. It was mere child’s play for Larry & Chanda! 😂
