To be honest I now can look back at it as a unseen gift, people seem to be taken back at a woman who is intelligent, witty, nerdy, funny AND attractive. Like how is this possible. I guess being a good looking person of substance is a flex and it’s pretty sad to notice 🧐I share my story to confidence to say, you’re not solo in this struggle. People always ask me if people get annoyed with me dancing in the streets and the answer is yes but it’s mostly from women honking in their cars upset.... Wow just wow, I’m shaking while writing this caption 🥺 Personally @serenawilliams has and will always be my most biggest inspo. Growing up in the 90’s I NEVER saw DARK black women celebrated, not even in my own (black) community. So when she broke out and created her own lane, I was like that’s it, that’s me, I’m doing that, I’m hyping myself up, I’m going for what I what, in love and in life. Thank you to the ladies before me. For allowing me to see that hard work does pay off. Determination does pay off. Those who mind don’t matter and those who matter will support you period. And for a funny note, this clip was takin while I was living in Germany, freshly broken up from the ex husband, didn’t have much money( he controlled everything) and desperately needing someone to film (back then nobody wanted to help me).
