Van Cortlandt house museum in the Bronx. Since 1749. Also the stones, tested to become the facade of grand central terminal. 2 were selected in 1913.

Container ship traffic in is up. Most likely due to the Baltimore bridge collapse. Today, my trip was delayed, as 3 container ships crossed our paths. They were going in both directions in the upper bay. Between the Kill Van Kull and the narrows, to and from the the Atlantic Ocean.

The newest part of NYC’s transportation infrastructure. It’s Located 180’ under park Ave at a cost of $12b. Included is wonderful public art mosaics. One is 120’/36.5M wide.

When the twa terminal at jfk opened, it was architecturally way ahead of it’s time. Today, it’s a hotel, the magnificent design of Eero Saarinen remains.

Visiting NY's Lower East Side. We were at the Tenement Museum, and saw various food places. Including the New Essex Market. We also saw some unusual art, in the form of a giant handbag.

Visiting The Portal. It allows us visiting in nyc to view Dublin Ireland. Located in the Flatiron South Public Plaza at Broadway, Fifth Avenue, and 23rd Street. Go it’s fun. It’s also brief.

Today we had a fabulous with Rob. Thank you We saw a lot of Washington heights. Starting at Bennett Park, the highest elevation in Manhattan. Walked by the Hudson View gardens and castle village apartments. Visited the palace nyc theater and the mansion. Walked along sylvan terrace and ended at the Audubon ballroom.

This past Friday, March 1, 2024, was the 50th Anniversary gala of the Guides Association of NYC Guides Association Of New York City

I remain quite humbled to be given the Lee Gelber-Guiding Sprit award. It is quite an honor, to be recognized by your peers.
