Welcome to Spring in Central Oregon! What a season it can be…sunshine, longer days, bright blue skies…full of chasing snowstorms to find the perfect stash of fresh powder or the neatly groomed slopes, warm days and sunshine to make us dream of outdoors and going hiking and biking, and windy days that make us wonder if we will blow away.

Crowds are lighter and activities are plentiful. Get your bird fix as the Golden Eagles are nesting at Aspen Hollow Preserve again and Swallows arrive, birds come out of their wintery hideaways in flocks. Seek out the early season wildflowers around the rivers, meadows, and sunny hills.

Get your fishing time in. When spring gets going in Bend, you can be sure that the trout will start getting active and abundant as well, and that’s an excellent time for fishing. There are hundreds of incredible spots for all kinds of fishing in Central Oregon check out popular fishing shops in Bend and Sisters that can offer both supplies and advice on where to go.

We are a Mom and Pop business, Rocking CR Vacation Rentals. Doug was a construction worker for 30 years and I was a teacher for 35 years. We both love the outdoors and discovered Central Oregon is the place to live, play, explore and vacation. So we purchased 3 uniques homes in three unique areas (Bend, Tumalo, and Sisters) to share with those that want to get away from it all.
