Sad news. One of our club members has passed away. Carol Haslach died Nov 12th of liver and bile duct cancer. She and her husband Don visited Gulf Shores, The Beach Club, for many winters. Carol was 82. R.I.P. Carol.

Proceeds from the Floral Seminar support all of the garden club projects including 2 scholarships to seniors at Gulf Shores High School, Junior gardening program at Gulf Shores Elementary School, donations to Gulf Shores High School's Environmental Academy, annual visit to the William F Green Veterans Home, poinsettias to seniors on Meals for Wheels and in the Haven Memory Care facility.

This just in from a local. Fairhope is a great day trip. The downtown is lit up at nights with lights on the trees from Thanksgiving thru Mardis Gras. Lots of shops and restaurants. The Grand hotel is a great place to stroll and they have free tea and cookies everyday at 4 with a history/firing of the cannon.

By unanimous vote at yesterday's breakfast we decided to donate $100 to the South Baldwin Community Theater's (www.sbct.biz) Take a Seat fundraiser. Many of us participate annually in its productions, particularly the Snowbird production. A plaque will be added to their donation board as Minnesota Snowbird Club. In addition, our 2024 Christian Service Center (https://www.cscgs.com/) donation from our 50/50 drawings is $1,000. Check will be delivered this week. Thank you to all breakfast attendees!
