It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

With hatchlings on the beach it’s even more important to make sure holes are filled in, tents, toys and furniture is fully off the sand at sunset and that no artificial light reaches the beach.

Exciting news from the our Natural Resources team and the Coastal Wildlife Club! We've witnessed the first sea turtle nest hatch of the 2023 season on beautiful Manasota Key this month. 🥰 The number of nests is rising at an incredible pace, breaking records along the way. 🐢

Please fill in holes, remove all of your items from the beach before sunset, and use turtle safe lights and/or flashlights/no cell phones at night on the beach!

The beauty of the sunrise from the dock softens the blow when you turn around and see the beating the mangroves took! They are already beginning to recover and certainly protected the shoreline during the storm. May they grow back even stronger!
