Looks like we would have pretty easily gotten away with yesterday without much rain if any at all . I had told them I thought we'd be ok but they wanted to reschedule because of the rain chances. Just another example of the customer isn't always right but the customer IS ALWAYS the customer .

Well , today's customers just called while we were hitching the boat . The saw that the rain might get here earlier than expected and asked to reschedule.

I can't even to be able to explain what it means to me to be able to report that I just took my first ride with my son. That I took non believers out yesterday and was able to see them catch crappie and they want to come again. That I heard from repeat customers several times today looking to get their family out. The trust in me , the good vibrations.... I'm doing the right thing in life , I know it . I didn't just come along a few yrs ago since a scope and folks see the difference. I am living every dream I've ever had . My son will impress you! He even impresses me ! I still haven't heard the end of he caught the biggest fish last time we wer out lol! When you fish with us you will learn that you dont need a bunch of electronics and hype to catch em . You'll never take turns to fish aboard our boat even it's 10 people! And we won't stop fishing for crappie. Everything eats minnows , so a mixed bag is often likely . Keep what you Want I'll clean the rest. No sending you somewhere else. .....

Afternoon ya'll. Today's folks played hookie from work today so they didn't want to take a pic 😆. Party of 5 , 4 hr trip , 7-11 a. It was quite a bit windier than what the forecast said it would be for the hrs we fished . That made some things more difficult today when it came to detecting the lighter bites as well as made some things restrictive. Had some throwbacks, mostly short crappie and had a few breakoffs. Most likely snotty's. Really nice folks . They wind made the learning curve and bit steeper than what we would see on a day with less wind but we worked through getting control of the snatchelepsy and getting set at the right depth . The bite was really good for the first few hrs but did get tougher after that for our last hour but I really think if we could have fished a couple spots that were really , really rough at the time we'd have boxed some more gooduns. The customers have already started making arrangements for a future trip which I'm looking forward to because we had a great time with them. I'm really proud of the Buzzard. Amongst all the action this morning he ended up with a hook in his hand . Fortunately, it wasn't really deep. He instantly" Manned up " and had me just pull it out , taped it up and went back to work . That's my boy! Lol.

Morning ya'll. I put the spare prop on the boat to be ready for tomorrow's trip. That took awhile because although I thought I had all the right hub kit pieces here but evidently I didn't and had to go get one . It's not a prop I especially like but it'll do the job . I have a new prop OTW but it probably won't get here until sat. Got the Harmobile fixed , inspected and registered. I had 5 tires between the trucks and trailers that needed attention of some sort or another and got all that done . So I've got several spares ready again . Got restocked on 2 stroke , grease, fishing line and a few other supplies . I've got some work to do on the Draggin Wagon this morning before it rains . It's always something. There's a lot of excellent solunar activity this month and I have way too much availability IMO . We're seeing really good crappie fishing and I really shouldn't have to tell ya'll again after all these yrs ya can't catch em from the couch 🙃. I've gotta tell ya I'm kind of amazed at just how many times lately I've been asked if my service is " one of those " that people have to take turns to fish to be able to watch the screen. The answer is NO ! For two reasons. First, we actually know how to fish lol and I think that entire concept is absolutely ridiculous! Anyway, I'll be offering some open boats in between the few private charters I have coming up so stay tuned if interested. Let's face it if I'm not telling ya'll when it's good like I tell ya when it isn't so much, I'm not doing my job . I'm also not doing my job if I'm not showing out the difference between a real old school fisherman vs the fiasco some out there have turned some of this stuff into . I've gotta go now . Morning ya'll. I'm posting a little late on this one . I had some things to take care of when i got home and was kinda tired when i got done. Billy, Kieth, Mike and Kevin are all repeat customers. Bob decided not to be in the pic. Overall we had a good trip yesterday . Open boat 5 hrs. 10a-3p . Quite a few more lost fish and more throwbacks than the last couple trips . More than plenty of action. On our way to our last spot we broke a prop blade which made our ride in slower than normal. BTW it was just that the TM batteries didn't get a full charge, they worked flawlessly yesterday. Great seeing you guys! Catch ya'll next time!

I have 1 person for tomorrow so far on the open boat anyone else want to join? 130 per person 30 dollar deposit to reserve a spot around 5hrs on the water i supply everything and clean the fish. Catching plenty crappie as well as other species. 5 spots still available. 10 am departure time at stowe away . The weather is supposed to be great.

After charging overnight everything checks out with the batteries. My guess is somehow one of the 110 side was loosened and it didn't get a full charge. Whether it was me or the Buzzard while putting the boat away, the damn cat playing on the boat , the wind, who knows but everything looks good and the smart chargers are green lights across the board so I'm ready for open boat tomorrow if anyone wants to catch crappie. I've got a good bead on em and will put ya all over em . Weather looks to be beautiful tomorrow and departure time will be 10 am .

Had to wait till the last freeze to plant . I reckon it'll take the next freeze to kill em lol ! Still sweet and delicious too. FNA. Lol. Hmmmmmm. Turkey tacos with sweet pepper , garlic and onion? Perhaps crappie tacos , oooooooh the possibilities. That tray is kinda heavy maybe both and an Alfredo. Hanging on the porch and buttercup pup decided than in my flannel shirt is the best place to hang . She loves to snuggle. Little fart.

Craig ,Brian, Polo and Jeremy are a fun group to hang with and easy keepers for sure. Plenty of laughs with these guys! . Really nice , down to earth folks . Open boat. These are usually 5 hrs on the water but we came in a tad early again but for different reasons this time and I'm still trying to get to the bottom of what went wrong. It was pretty breezy today , down right windy at times. Windier than the forecast showed . The TM worked hard today and towards the end of the trip the TM started having a hard time keeping up . I just serviced the batteries about a week ago and hadn't had any trouble until today . Glare from the sun kinda made it hard to read the battery test button and indicator while on the water and maybe it was a bit dim but I had lights across the board . When I got home I did preliminary tests and everything checks out . The smart chargers don't show any problems with the system itself and seem to be working correctly . Connections are good , plug wasn't hot on the water when I felt it . Perhaps with all the wind yesterday or when we were putting the boat away last time we losend one of the connections on the 110 side and it didn't get a full charge. I'm going to charge it overnight and do some further testing in the morning on the batteries individually and make sure one doesn't have a bad cell or something along those lines . Despite that issue we had a Purdy good trip I think . We boxed 32 crappie with one throwback. Threw back some gherkins and 1 Itty bitty yeller feller. Put one purdy good snotty in the box and Jeremy lost one at least twice that size after around 7 or 8 minutes of trying to work him and get his head turned . He was doing a great job , its a real game to put the big snotty's on deck with crappie tackle with 8 lb test . It takes great skill but a little luck is in the mix for sure . Yall have seen me do it many times over. Lost quite a few crappie to the learning curve and right at the top. Some were aggressive others not so much so you had to take it one fish at a time , taking nothing for granted . No takers for the open boat I offered for tomorrow which I find amazing given the pics we're putting down and all the action we're having , but it is what it is I reckon . If I did I'd have just replaced all the batteries tonight and been ready. Instead , tomorrow I'll test further. One way or another I'll be ready to do an open boat sun if anyone is interested. Gotta make hay while the sun is shining and ya can't catch em from the couch! . Fishing is good folks and I'll put ya all over em . I apologize for the issues we had guys. I really do strive to provide great service and I really appreciate ya'lls candor about the matter. I always report honestly when I have shortcomings and work hard to correct them . It's my hopes that everyone learned something today that they can take with them to use in the future in their own fishing without a 5 figure investment of fancy gear and possibly discovered a few of the keys to the art of crappie fishing as it's always been in the past . Craig and Brian have been faithful followers of this page for quite some time in which im extremely thankful . Craig came out one night and help set brush awhile back . I met Brian for the first time today as well as Jeremy and Polo . Thanks again guys for a great time . We really enjoyed fishing with Ya'll and look forward to next time. Catch ya'll later..........

Morning ya'll. I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday a good meal and was able to spend the day with whom they wanted to. Test we ate around noon and then Mrs Ho**er and myself went for a little afternoon ride. I was a little tuckered out and fell asleep kinda early lol . I had intended to post that this weekend was still available. Light winds and nice weather too. Private charter , open boat doesn't matter to me just speak up if interested i just wanna fish . I won't waste ya'lls time this year with some cliché post with some meme about being thankful . I will say this though . My blessings are too many to list . They started with a man who took the time who teach me dirty hands lead to clean money. Belief in that led me to this beautiful creature who gave me my wonderful son of whom I couldn't be more proud of . Also one of the purest loves on earth is a dogs love for you . Please don't dump them . Dogs don't dump humans. Tammy Hite-Harwell , I love doing life with you. You taught me that everything in life is what you are able to make of it and OMG pinch me! If I'm dreaming don't wake me. ............ I U ❤️ luvbug.

Well , we cut today's open boat a little short because that wind had teeth. Glad we did too , I believe it was the right decision . We still got almost 4 1/2 hrs fishing in so it wasn't too terribly short. Caught well over a limit of crappie in that time but could only box 23 and lost several nice ones right at the top . Threw back some gherkins too. Everyone today were repeat customers except for Kirk . Steven, Harrison, T.J. and Jason. Fun crew . Great seeing ya'll again and great meeting you Kirk!
