Limits please, party of two. Bubba and Debbie are a riot! Full trip 6:30 a - a little after 1p . Super nice folks , lots of laughs with these guys! My side still hurts 😆. The first 35 weren't all that hard to put into the box but that last 15 we had to move around a bit and work for , got R done though! We had some throwbacks. Yeller fellers, gherkins short tuna and some short crappie. They kept 2 limits of crappie, some pretty nice sunfish, a ditch pickle , a snotty and 1 tuna. A great day with great folks! It was gorgeous out there today albeit a bit chilly to start. Great meeting ya'll! Thanks again for a great time! Catch ya'll later.......

A little marinade, some pork loin roast pounded flat cut into strips and grilled. Some grilled vegetables. I made some plain white rice for Mrs Ho**er and the Buzzard to have with it. It made a good healthy meal for my family . Ya know Jeff and Amy came out with me recently. Very nice folks , salt of the earth kinda people . Jeff tipped the the buzz , he knows the boy is saving for college. I was a bit concerned at first to tell ya the truth because he didn't give me anything at the time and i was thinking that he might have not thought that it wasn't the best trip that could have been provided. Well, a couple days later I started receiving packages from Amazon. Jeff said he had gotten me a little sumpin and just be on the lookout ..... my goodness! This man had already given me an entire trailer load of the best BBQ wood on the planet, made it easy for me to get but also sent me like 8 packages of kitchen/ grilling materials, tools etc . OMG 😲. When i speak on our trips when we have great conversation, its often about current events, how folks are doing, and the day to day about our lives and its always a great time to me to chat with folks about such . Sure , fishing and that's always first and foremost but the repeat customers, their current situation our connections .... once I get to know folks my family just gets bigger imo and Jeff and Amy took such good care of me and my family that I'm forever grateful to know such good folks and am proud to call them friends 🧡. I'm actually in awe that someone paid as much attention and thought about us so much to do such nice things 😊. It really feels good . I don't want to brag but I'm the luckiest man alive to have the trust of such good people. Jeff and Amy sent me , knives, cutting boards, towels, Steamer pans , bun pans for baking ..... all wonderful gifts . But the attention they paid, the love they've shown me and my family is priceless and IDC who you think you are in life, its personal attention like that that always means something . Especially to me . The weather has just plain sucked this week but every day the last few days has been a blessing, little reminders every day that what it do actually matters to some . Thanks Jeff, Amy, ya'll really know how to touch a man's heart . No doubt because ya'lls are so big . Thank you so very much again! ya'll are aces in my hand in life and Its hard to believe I've been dealt such good cards sometimes. My goodness , I'm so glad to know ya'll ........

Afternoon ya'll. The weather has really put a damper on things this last week but it looks like things will straighten up by Tuesday. I'm going to offer an open boat Wednesday morning at 8 am to fill a gap in my schedule next week if anyone is interested. 130 per person , 30 dollar deposit to reserve a spot. 6 spots available. Around 5 hrs on the water possibly a bit longer. I supply everything and clean the fish. The catch is separated so you keep the fish you catch. You won't find a better deal anywhere to get on the water with an experienced , reputable , actual crappie guide I assure you vs a catfish guide posing as one . We will be targeting crappie and a mixed bag is often likely when using minnows. The garden is starting to come along pretty good ! Maters, beans, squash , cucumbers , peppers and watermelons . Some from seed, some transplants . I just love this time of year! Some of our last trip pics are featured as an example of the possibilities. Hope to hear from ya'll. Enjoy your weekend! Morning ya'll. I hope everyone is doing well and having a great day . Whew , yesterday was quite eventful for me . Answered quite a few calls and messages amongst doing my regular chores . Yesterday Mrs Ho**er's car broke down and I had to go deal with that. It has an active recall on a bushing that holds the shifter cable in place i got the cable back on and drove it home but it detached again as soon as I got it home so getting it scheduled to be fixed. Then, yesterday afternoon I was involved in quite a minor accident. At the grocery store a woman backed into me on my motorcycle. It's kinda hard to believe she didn't see or hear me but it happened. I hollered and laid on the horn as it happened but she didn't stop in time . To describe it best I think I'd say she pressed into me rather than hit me . When she pulled forward I pulled into the spot I was waiting to occupy as I did that I got off the bike to watch her just drive away! I hollered at her and she kept going I didn't have enough time to get her whole license plate number! She got out of there pretty quick! As I had gotten off the bike is kinda did it quickly and my dang hip did that popping thing it does sometimes which is quite painful, so I was kinda hobbling around lol. Three ladies witnessed the whole thing . Two of them rushed over to me asking if I needed an ambulance. I thanked them for their concern and told them it wasn't the accident that was hurting me atm lol. The third lady chased the one that hit me in her car, caught up to her and told her if she didn't return that she was calling the police and reporting her for hit and run ! I'm very grateful for that nice lady looking out for me ! . She got the woman to return and I was able to get all her information. It doesn't appear that there's any damage to my bike . I'm getting it looked at this morning at the dealership just to make sure. I'm not worse for wear from the ordeal and I'm not in any more or less pain than I was before it happened. On the I love Conroe page I gave the lady who chased her down and got her to return and huge shout out and many thanks 😊 . I offered an open boat this morning but no takers and it is what it is . I thought about going fishing this morning and honestly, it cost me around 200 bucks to go fishing all factors considered. I don't need any more fillets than I have in my freezer currently I'm quite confident in my ability and can say I've got them patterned right now and see no reason to " scout" . If anyone wants to fish I'll put em on it. Looks like the next couple days are going to be downright windy and it'll be pretty rough out there . Both my customers for tomorrow have decided to wait and reschedule after conversations with them . I'm sure we'd catch at least some fish but 15 + mph winds will be restrictive and a struggle. If it was my money being spent and could afford to wait I would too. I'll be talking with Thursdays customers today and see what they want to do. I'm actually booked all the rest of this week but may have a bunch of reschedules and it is what it is . I'd rather folks have a great experience rather than run em through the chute so to speak. Saw the sawbones for my regular check up and he says all of my tests and numbers look very, very good! Outside of the dang hip i feel pretty good 👍. Just a little update folks . Jeff and Amy are always fun to fish with. Playful , funny and like to talk smack 😆. Last night they brought along Leroy, Brody, Xavier and little cooper. The wind didn't didn't lay down last night until just before these guys were ready to call it and it was quite restrictive to us . It was rougher than a cats tounge out there on the main lake . . Full trip, 7 p - 2a . Caught some , lost some, threw some back . A little of everything. The bite wasn't really fast at all but at times was frequent. Lots of small fish showed to the party. Had a couple aspects of the learning curve to deal with a few times but I don't believe it played a major factor in the general scheme. The barometer was awfully low and still hasn't come up much at all . That generally means unsettled weather and it's very off putting to the crappie when they're trying to spawn. None of the fish I've cleaned to date this year have spawned yet . We did check a very reliable tattle tale staging area that's out of the wind and it was a ghost town so proceeding with the plan we were on i believe was the right move and we did see action, just didn't get em all in the boat . We only had a little over a dozen minnows left out of 2 lbs when we came in and I say it all the time ...... if you have gone through 20 + dozen minnows , I dont care what ends up in the box you've done some fishing 😉 great seeing ya'll! Kinda of a funky rainy day today. Had a couple things today to repair on the boat like the net that folded getting that carp in, replacing a hose clamp for the sheath on my poor man's power poles and did a little regular maintenance . Getting bait tanks cleaned and sqared away . Other than that I did rest this hip a bit . I slept in late today while it was raining this morning. Anyone else getting their gardens in ? Lol I had a few squash plants spring up out of nowhere so I left em ! Got my maters, peppers, green beans, zucchini and watermelons planted . Once everything from seed springs up good I'll finish weeding and mulching. This year I've got 4 kinds of tomatoes , 3 kinds of peppers ,yellow zucchini and sugar baby melons . The green beans are Kentucky wonder bush stringless , I always have pretty good luck with those . The tomatoes have already grown at least 5 inches since I transplanted them ! Cukes and zucchini are starting to sprout. Making a bait run tomorrow i do have a little availability next week just FYI. Have a great day everyone 😀.

Miss Brigitte will give ya a toothache I'm telling you. Such a nice young gal . She was my only taker on today's open boat . 7a- 1 p . I believe things happen for a reason so only having her as a client today was a good thing as I was able to give her 1-1 attention and instruction after all, we were starting from scratch for the most part in her journey as an angler. We started out fishing shallow and were finding pretty decent action on a mixed bag including crappie. It wasn't in any of the forecasts I saw but the wind turned out from the north and the shallows wound down pretty quick after that . This time of year north winds aren't a good thing at all. We changed strategies at that point and started hitting staging areas . Caught some , missed some , threw some back. Worked through the learning curve. Give or take a couple, we were close to a 1-1 throwback rate on the crappie. Had one tuna break off on us . She asked to keep anything edible so she could figure out for herself what she does or doesn't like and she got a pretty good sample of what Lake Conroe has to offer in the way of table fare . The bite was kinda fickle at times but we put the work in and all things being equal I'd call today successful. We had some laughs and great conversation answering her questions as well as just chatting in general. I hollered at Chuck and told him to come along if he wanted because there was plenty of room . Always good to see him . Great to meet ya Brigitte! We certainly enjoyed having you aboard today ! Looking forward to seeing you in the future 😀 catch ya next time sista!

I hope this sumbitch goes down the way it's leaning currently. I came outside to look around because it pretty much stopped raining and saw all that water discolored after looking around a bit I saw the base of that tree moving pretty good in the wind and the ground pumping. If it goes the way it's leaning some right now it'll be in the woods or in the easement any other direction it's my house or the neighbors.
