I did wear this sweatsuit today- but I did not practice my guitar -YET.

Playing music is a lot like practicing yoga in so many ways. And no matter how much natural facility you have for yoga or music - consistency plays a huge role in developing your acuity, dexterity, strength, flexibility, endurance, focus, and your mindset.

Showing up on your mat is often the greatest obstacle to progress in your yoga practice. It’s the same with music- just getting started- picking up your instrument (or sitting down with it) and playing is often the hardest part.

I bring this up to say - just show up, take the first breath, play the first note, take it one step, one breath at a time. You will likely surprise yourself 💕✨💫🙏.

When I started practicing yoga 20+ years ago…I had no idea how far it would lead me. I just knew that I wanted to do more. I took 8 classes in my first intro week and after my second week I found a work/study job at a studio so I could practice and learn. I was blown away by how intensely I felt the benefits…mind, body, and soul.

It took me nearly 20 years to discover the power and beauty of chanting - which is pretty wild considering I’m a singer 🎤.

I am so grateful for all the ways in which this practice continues to show up and surprise me and catapult me towards growth.

The power of vibrations is 🌟.

This was a moment. What does it feel like to lead a group of yogis chanting to live music with and ? Like you are flying ✨💫💕🎶❤️‍🔥🙏.
