ob to resist that tyranny. Our collections are there to empower you, to ignite your confidence of self and to bring as many beautiful female souls together as possible. Sisterhood to us means unity. We want that ethos to spread to everything we do and that means being socially responsible to the ever precious environment we all live in. All of our collections are ethically made by a courageous team of talented men and women in Deli, India. They receive all of the amazing treatment that a lot of us take for granted: fair wages, holiday pay, health insurance, safe working environments and EU standard working hours. What's more, they are given money towards putting their children through school, a continuous problem that India still heavily faces today. We are so proud to be part of the ever growing ethical community, long may we see it continue!

What a huge bloody blow. The bots on the platform I’m using have blocked my campaign and as a result, I have to wait until their team can manually launch it tomorrow.
What a way to start! I’m praying we’ll be live by tomorrow evening and that this streak of bad luck finally comes to an end! I’ll keep you all posted 🫶🏻.

Hey gang! It’s time for me to close up for a much needed break over the festive period ♥️.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the kindness and support you’ve shown my little business this year. It has by far been the hardest year not just for the business, but me personally. Your support has kept me going and i’m forever grateful for you all.
From the 20th of Dec till the 3rd of Jan, I will cease shipping orders and take a break from customer service. You can continue to place orders as usual, but they will be shipped when I return to work on the 3rd.

Meet the Ilk + Ernie Team! 🫶🏻
Jess launched Ilk + Ernie back in 2018. After a long stint working in fast fashion in her 20s, she ditched the high street and began her sustainable, small business journey.
Ella is our customer service queen. She manages all our lovely stock AND all your lovely orders - we'd be lost without her!
Sam, AKA boss man. His father Sanjay opened their factory 30 years ago. Sam and him have been partners for 15 years. A few years ago Sanjay decided to semi-retire, leaving Sam in charge of the runnings of the factory. Don't tell him we said this, but he works his ass off ❤️. We appreciate him A LOT.
Javid is our Master Ji, he has the most important role in our factory. The Master Ji is the factory's head tailor. Javed oversees the pattern cutting, sizing and fit of every single one of our designs. He's a bloody wizard and we'd be lost without him.
Finally, meet Rohit (right) and Nafees (left). Rohit is the head of quality control. That's right, if there's a missing button, dodgy zip or wonky seam, he'll know about it. Nafees is head of sourcing, you'll often find him by our side, battling the crowded streets of Delhi looking for the best surplus fabric we can find!

What is Surplus fabric?
Larger fashion corporations throw away huge quantities of fabric every season. Surplus fabric is considered dead stock, waste fabric, that if not bought by brands like Ilk + Ernie, would end up in landfill polluting the ground, or incineration polluting the air.
