'The Sinking of The Kenbane Head'

This is a great book by Sam McAughtry telling the story of how The Kenbane Head was attacked and sunk by the German Battleship Admiral Scheer on 5th November 1940.

His brother Mart was one of the 43 Crew and died when the ship was sunk.
33 members of the Crew were from Northern Ireland - Islandmagee, Holywood, Belfast, Dundrum, Kilkeel, Ballyhalbert, Glenravel, Dunmurry and Carrickfergus.

This book is from Blackstaff Press and my photograph shows the front cover.

The most incredible sight at St Pancras International as the stands 12m tall. Congratulations to our pals Hatchards who've made us feel thoroughly Christmassy. With 270 shelves adorned with over 3,800 hand-painted books, it's a thing of beauty 😍🎄📚

Kasala will talk about some of the food she produces from the produce of their garden. Her glamorous assistant, William, will be on hand to pass around some trial samples.
There will be a plant swap at this meeting so if you're dividing perennials in your garden why not pot some up and bring them along and swap it for one of the other plants on the swap table.
