Motorbike Townie Bar Tour Mike and Tony are on a motorbike quest to promote Townie Restaurant/Bars as a dining alternative. Full price on all items and beers.

Executive Summary:

Mike Morrison and Tony Rispoli are blending two past times they enjoy… Motorcycles and Local Food and Drink. After riding their motorcycles 73 miles and completely hungry with a big thirst for beer, they stopped in a Local Cleveland sports bar chain. Like all “corporate” restaurants the menu was the usual found in any chain sports bar offering very generic food. The dining expe

rience left them wondering… why do people eat at chains when there are Townie Restaurant and Bars where the owner actually works there. They want to let followers know chain restaurants are not the answer to a fun dining experience. Townie Restaurants and Bars are the answer. What are we going to do:

Promote Townie Restaurants and Bars. We are not going to review the establishments. Reviewing is an individual’s opinion on tastes, experience and expectations. Social media is loaded with the reviewing concept. We are going to ride until hungry and randomly find a local restaurant and bar. We are interested in the holistic experience of the established. The concept, the staff, the layout, the patrons, the food. We will promote and feature the positive aspects of the restaurant/ bar devoid of any influences from the owner or present or past patrons. We want our followers to know the Townie Restaurant /Bar simply exists. How are we going to do this:

Mike and Tony will ride our motorcycles to neighborhoods, small towns and out of the way places to eat and drink. No agenda, no prior contacting the owner, no free meals. We will walk in like any other patron and enjoy the restaurant/bar. We will not have an item check list for consistency in comparing restaurant/bars. Our opinion is not going to be expressed to our followers. We will provide the positive parts of the experience in written format with pictures to post to our social media site. We will promote to our followers townie restaurants and bars they never even thought of stopping in but now will try. Definition of a Townie Restaurant and Bar:

Single location, non franchised, locally owned Restaurant and/or Bar. Geographic location is only limited to where we ride. The Motorcycles:

2006 Triumph America – 900cc of comfort and sophisticated cool parked outside a Townie Bar

2008 Harley Davidson Dark Custom Nightster – 1200cc of black and chrome design to Townie Bar hop at a moments notice. The Men:

Mike Morrison: 57 yr old shift supervisor that lives for motors and food. Tony Rispoli : 55 yr old accountant going through his umpteen mid life crisis. Both are on the verge of being unstable and really don’t give a s**t. Why do this:

We believe individuality is the essence of developing good products and service. Chain and franchise restaurants develop a formula and process resulting in best practices that are profitable. We are not saying this is bad. We are saying a from restaurant consumers view, these corporate restaurants produce scripted servers and generic food. We want to spend our money at places that provide locally what people want and are not 100% concerned about plate costs. Their concerned about providing their dream to customers. What do we get out of all this:

Nothing. We want to provide free positive advertising for Townie Restaurant and Bars and steer followers away from the chain and franchise restaurants/bars. Heck, we are riding our bikes and stopping to eat anyway – we may as well help out the owners that feed us and keep us hydrated.

The Tim and Tony Tour plus Thor was a good time. We walked into
a completely empty place. The menu was limited to … a hamburger. They do offer plated full meals. We did not partake on the full meal option. The PBR was was Ice Cold and the burger was extremely good. Michelle, the owner was pleasant with us. We made a new friend. It was a nice relaxing to time. True Townie Bar. Nice to get back to our Townie Bar roots.

Twelve Motor Bike Townie Bar Tour members emerged from hibernation to kick off the Townie Bar 2024 tour.

And let’s just say we were all wound up.

Converging on the self proclaimed Dive Bar, Crowleys located on Vine Street in Eastlake OH., the joint was jumping with patrons having a great time.

We were lucky to have an inside man set us up for Monday’s $10 burgers fries and PBR.

As we were all catching with each other, the owners were moving at the speed of light gathering our orders along with stocking our up table with cold draft Pabst Blue Ribbon Beer.

Crowleys vibe is one of everyone knows most everyone and making new friends.

The kind of place where you want to be.

The Motorbike Bike Townie Bar Tour Members picked the right place to kick off our 2024 Townie Bar Tour.

We suggest you add Crowley’s to your motorcycle rides this year.

Side note- if you like donuts Biagio’s donuts are located right by Crowley’s. Stop in for your donut fe**sh.

See you on the streets.

Well we haven’t posted in a while but we still rode every week all summer. We have visited a lot of places this summer with great food and great atmosphere. Our Founder which normally posts all our rides got hacked , not once but twice ! So CoFounder is posting this for all of you to check out. We ended up at The Shop Bar and Grill in Painesville Ohio which has been remodeled and has a great atmosphere with great food ! Our waitress Emily went over the top to take care of us and make sure everything was to our liking, but not just us other patrons also . The prices were great for family’s to afford and get a great meal . So take a ride out there and support this establishment and get a great meal and enjoy your self like we did !

If it is 88 degrees and you have been pelted by an exponential amount of insects, all you want is a cold craft beer.

We sure did and drifted in to Garrett’s Mill & Brewing Company via SR 82 into Garrettsville.

After disembarking from our motorbikes, we could not decide to sit outside or inside. The group voted inside since The Chairman is a concrete guy and outside all day. He needed a break.

We are glad we did. The inside seating and bar is full of wood and windows. What is cool place.

We ordered up craft beers and other libations while our food orders were being prepared.

We got on the subject of all
the cars we owned from Road Runners to VW Beetle stories.

We all had some cars that seem to be needing repair on a weekly basis. Speed’s first car was 1967 Fiat 850 Sports Spyder. Thor’s second car was VW Super Beetle he purchased new then tore it down. Customized it and jacked the engine in to a race beast. VTR Ron’s Super Beetle was lacking heat. What a surprise. He had to wear a parka to stay warm in it.

The Chairman had to drive the Chevrolet embarrassment, Chevette.

There were others as well. Great fun on our stories.

FOOD

From the salads, Chicken Paprikash, Italian hamburgers and hoagies, we loved them all. You cannot go wrong with any selection.

BEER

Check out the photos. There is beer for everyone

Here is what we suggest.

Gather up your motorbike friends, layout the roads you want to ride into Garrettsville for a great rest stop at Garrett’s Mill Brewing Company.

We love the name of this fun “Townie Bar “.

Indian Ed took command of this tour south out of Russell Twp onto light to no traffic back roads through Hudson / Peninsula and into Richfield. What a nice ride.

Arriving on the corner of SR303 and SR176 we knew this was a good choice.

Once we entered inside, we found our kind of place. Very comfortable with honest home made selections and cheap beers.

Those that follow us know we love the cheap beer your grandfather would stock in his garage refrigerator. Wait…One of the club members stocks his shop with “grandfather”beers. Thanks for carrying on the tradition Tim.

The fun part was our server Jackie. The saying on her shirt … (see photos) we were not sure where she was going with that. It does not matter. We like Jackie.

We were eyeing up the pizza selection others prior to us arriving ordered. These pizza pies were delicious looking. Pizza is their Tuesday feature.

We were so comfortable, the food was great and beers were ice cold we should of camped over.

If you like rolling country roads, plan your next ride to The DougOut Pub and Grill.

Once there you won’t want to leave.

When in Rome, go to an Irish Pub. We know. That statement makes no sense.

This tour, we were looking for country roads heading east out of Geauga county with limited stops and zero traffic. We found them that dropped us off at the corner SR6 and 45 in Rome’s McGinty’s Irish Pub.

Parking our rides we were a bit confused on the massively long building. Here, there are other establishments in this building including and ice cream store and pizzeria.

Being in Rome, we assumed this was a town with an Italian flair. Maybe the pizzeria is leading this Italy transplanted namesake.

We walked down to McGintys to discover it is a large place with a second level and outdoor seating for a small party.

The indoor bar is a huge horseshoe concept with a fully stocked bar of whisky, wine and Pabst Blue Ribbon Beer. Plus other selections you will be happy with.

Candace was a bit surprised to be over run by our group, but she set the expectations of she is running the bar and cooking the meals.

It did not matter to us, she was on top of pouring the drinks and getting the food orders out in a timely matter. Plus it was excellent Pub food. We loved it.

Great stop for us to refuel and enjoy the cold beer and food before we headed out to an after Motorbike Townie Bar Tour gathering.

We suggested if you are heading to Roming Shores for boating and fishing, a stop at McGinty’s is a must. Side note, check out the pizzeria and Ice cream store as well.

Here we go!

Motorbike Townie Bar Tour assembled at the pre set meeting point then re-saddled upped heading over to our first 2022 Townie Bar Tour.

New Promotions :

The Closer was promoted to the club’s Chief Information Officer, Thor is now the Minister of The Truth.

They, along with VTR Ron, Indian Ed and Speed enjoyed the 89 degree weather with a nice ride through part of the Cleveland Metro Parks eastside roads dumping us at Dilly D’s.

We were stunned how large the inside was with classic Townie Bar Games.

Our servers were running at full throttle delivering us Pabst Blue Ribbon in a bottle. Now that is class in our book. They do have Craft Beer as well. Indian Ed gave that a thumbs up.

Well stocked menu of Townie Bar favorites prepared by the owner to the next level of taste. Check out the food photos.

Starting off the Tour at Dilly D’s with a thumbs up 👍 is a great way to start your Motorbike 2020 planed rides.

Enjoy Dilly D’s -we did.
