Our Swedish mermaid Mimmi is back on board for most of this summer season...
Mimmi first joined us with her mom for her 18th birthday and has been returning on her own since every four or five years to her dolphin family.
A while back, I posted that one of our chefs would not be returning, and Mimmi contacted me immediately to ask for the job...
Here again, 17 or so years later it is a treat to have her back on board as part of our family crew. Her cooking is another very good bonus...
She is also our photographer/videographer, editor, our in water safety person, and just a joy to have on board. As many of you know!!

We love going in reverse. The dolphins love it, as do our guests... we always check in with our wild dolphin family to make sure that our joining them in the water is what they wish also. Their pretty clear about what is best for them at any moment. It's a good thing. Until their ready for us, we enjoy spending time with each other like this.

Up to 40 of our wild dolphin family spending several hours with us both in and out of the water...
We spent the morning with our wild stingray family, hugging and loving with them then slowly moved our to the dolphin grounds to spend the rest of the afternoon with our wild dolphin family.
A very surreal calm and clear day on the water.

Over 50 pantropical spotted dolphins playing with us for over an hour while crossing the Northwest Providence Channel heading back to Grand Bahama, a cloudy sunset going down to the side of us... added to the over 20 spotted dolphins who blessed us with their presence at 9 in the morning...
And puppy Taino keeping an energetic eye on all of us.

What does your weekly dolphin swim schedule look like? It's a question that I'm asked almost daily. It's very flexible depending on the weather, the dolphins, and our guests.
We start on Grand Bahama around noon on Sundays get together and have lunch on board. We have our introduction, safety, and snorkeling get together. Then we go to a beautiful reef that has the most friendly turtles, the largest artificial reef in the bahamas and a aquarium like real reef where we take all the time necessary to check out everyone's swimming and snorkeling abilities and help tweak whatever you might need to feel comfortable and safe during your week here.
We have our native dinner out on this evening at a floating restaurant that has great waterfront dining and live music outside.
After dinner, we board Indigo Dreams for the evening passage under the usually beautiful starry sky to the dolphin grounds off Bimini.
Around breakfast, we are on the dolphin grounds.
The weather this week could not be more perfect, around 10 in the morning we spent the next few hours in the crystal clear waters with around 25 of our wild spotted dolphin family. We then went into the Indigo blue waters of the Gulf Stream and played with our freediving skills until our late lunch was ready. We had two more interactions in the afternoon with our bottlenose friends, then anchored in one of our favorite coves for the night.
The sunset was not disappointing, and waking up to a female spotted dolphin and her baby passing just off the side of the boat was a special way to start today.
Around 11 this morning, We came onto a pod of 6 spotted dolphins. Because we liveaboard and are starting our days around eight in the morning, we have few time constraints so we just hang with our dolphin family and see what they would like to do... the 6 dolphins turned into 35. Our guests who are from Switzerland, Belgium and the US were blessed with over 5 hours of wet dolphin love.
