A delightful stone built holiday cottage located on a working hill sheep farm in the Yorkshire Dales. Magnificent views and walks from the door step.
Experience life on a true Yorkshire Dales working farm. The whole family are heavily involved in running the farm including the children now aged 13 and 14 years.
We have 1200 sheep of which 850 will lamb each year and 50 Suckler cows calving throughout the year. There are also 4 sheepdogs and 2 horses.
The cottage is nestled at the bottom of the rolling hills sheltered by the weather. It is surrounded by a courtyard of farm buildings that house the sheep, cows and horses throughout the winter.
Enjoy an interesting stay watching the hustle and bustle of farming life with opportunities to lamb sheep, bottle feed lambs and learn about animal husbandry.
The cottage provides spacious accommodation for 4 people. It is sustainably heated with a biomass boiler and has a multi-fuel stove with fuel provided.
