Lot 74:
Created to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Universal Geneve in April of 1994, this watch is the definition of unique – only one was ever made.
Drawing its inspiration from the Cabriolet range of the late 1920’s, the 18K rose gold and platinum case features dual faces with diurnal and nocturnal indication and a jumping hour hand.
Face A comprises white sapphire, lapis lazuli, and meteorite, while blue mother of pearl completes Face B.

A Hublot TMT Carbon Gold. Hublot is well-known for their partnerships in the world of sports, and to celebrate Floyd Mayweather’s 50-0 record, they collaborated with the famous fighter to produce two limited edition watches, of which the Carbon Gold is one (only 100 made). It is loud and bombastic, in keeping with the champion’s nickname ‘Money’.
This watch sees the first use of carbon fiber encrusted with 3N gold, in a process that manually places gold powder between the carbon layers before it is compressed. The texture of the carbon fiber beautifully subdues the gaudiness sometimes associated with gold. The legibility is also good, with the gold hands and sub-dials contrasting well against the matte black skeleton.
The straps are calf leather with python and gold stud details, reminiscent of the shorts Mayweather wore with his victory over Connor McGregor. At the noon position, there is a gold applique TMT logo, representing Floyd’s The Money Team lifestyle brand. The sapphire case back is emblazoned with TBE – The Best Ever.
The watch has a diameter of 45mm, and is 15.45mm thick. The case houses a HUB1242 Unico movement.

Svend Andersen is a legend in the world of independent watchmakers, and this piece is another confirmation of his genius and craftmanship.
This particular wristwatch was made by Mr. Andersen and a very skilled craftsman in the spring of 2003. It presents the wearer with a pristine white dial and black numerals, set in a cushion-shaped, 56g white gold case. Engraved on the left side of the case is the inscription “1/1” – it is the only one of its kind in the world.
Opening the lid on the back reveals an erotic picture of a lady answering a telephone, and a scene depicting the well-known affair between then-president Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky.
Pushing a button on the crown activates this automaton, setting the scene of about ten moving parts in motion for up to two minutes.
The movement is hand-wound by turning the crown clockwise. Turning the crown counter-clockwise winds up the clock movement for up to 36 hours.
A stingray leather strap and solid white gold buckle secures this timepiece around the wearer’s wrist. Two more original leather straps are included with the set.
With the combination of the exquisite workmanship, overall uniqueness, and the naughty secret hidden in the back, this Andersen wristwatch will delight collectors and wristwatch aficionados around the world.
This rare item will be available for sell at Tzoffey’s online auction 22 September
