Kent Weatherby enjoyed an exciting career as a trial lawyer for the United States Justice Department before leaving to become an Assistant Attorney General for the Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands (a United Nations Trusteeship). During the Vietnam

War he served in the United State Army Reserve as Investigating Officer in a War Crimes Team. Upon his return to the United States he became a corporate lawyer where his prior international law experience once more led him to the Pacific Rim. I have been busy the past few months working on several projects. Two of my novels are out of print - the publisher closed their doors and went out of business. I am currently busy updating those stories: The Frenchman Ate the Fresh Bread First...will become two novellas An Inconstant Life and An Inconstant Death. Rising from Bethany: the Story of Lazarus has undergone a massive rewrite as Lazarus Alive: the Man - The Miracle. I am currently working on a companion Bible study that will be published as a seperate work.

"Unfettered Truth" MS came back from my editor last week. It is great having a retired English professor-cousin. The changes he challenged have been incorporated into the final draft. Now for a final read-through and then...the publisher..

Busy checking Unfettered Truth for compliance with the Chicago Manual of Style before sending the MS off to the publisher. Only another week or so and off it goes!

While Unfettered Truth ages like good wine before going to the publisher I have begun working on the LAST St Jack novel: A Lamb to Slaughter set in the Rocky Mountain National Park area.(you guessed it - it's not a romance!)

Unfettered Truth - St Jack mystery #5

IT IS FINISHED - at least the first complete draft of the latest St Jack mystery ( #5) is now on the PC and saved to a 'stick.' The process requires it to age for a few months before going back for a self-edit and rewrite.

Graham Greene wrote a book titled In Search of a Character.
I got a great name at the Kansas Book Festival on Saturday: Alexander introduced himself to me as Alexander the Vendor Floater. Hence forth and in some future novel he may appear as a Scandinavian from Lindsborg, Kansas: Alexandr Vanderfloter. Go figure!
