Our open day this Saturday provides a great opportunity for working parents to find out more about the new government funding being introduced for childcare this year. Two-year-olds can access up to 15 hours of free childcare from April and from September it's available for babies from nine months. We will have experts on hand to explain how this funding can be used to help you access outstanding childcare, we will also have Baby Shark visiting to meet the little ones and our team members will be delighted to show you around our outstanding setting.
This is open to all working families, not just potential nursery families. Please book a show around by emailing [email protected] or calling 01275 402140. Alternatively you can just turn up between 10am-noon. We'd love to see you.

HALF TERM ACTIVITIES
Could your child benefit from activities aimed at helping to improve their self-esteem and build their confidence?
Following on from our very successful workshops in 2023 we are now opening up small group sessions for February half term.
Working with our carefully chosen horses, Equine Reflections will focus on effective communication, working with others, establishing positive relationships and will include practising mindfulness with children aged 5-11, in a friendly, relaxed environment. The cost is £35 per session.
We currently have availability on Mon 12th 1-2.30pm; Tues 13th 1-2.30pm (only one space left on this already!); Wed 14th 1-2.30pm; Thurs 15th 10-11.30am.

A PORTISHEAD company has donated £1,000 to help support the town's festival illuminations this year.

This weekend is Portishead Arts Festival with lots going on all over town. There is also an arts related shop window competition in the High Street. Throughout the weekend residents and visitors to the High Street are asked to vote for their favourite arts related shop window display - some will have displays created by local nursery or school children while others will include a piece of art from one of our local artists.
All those who vote for the window that receives the most votes will be entered in to a free draw to win a £25 gift voucher, kindly donated by F H Halliday & Son Ltd. to spend at a High Street business of their choice.
To vote members of the public are asked to email their favourite art themed window to [email protected]
You can only vote over the weekend of 23-24 September 2022.
