Happy 51st Birthday to Me!! 🎉🎊
While remodeling the garage this summer, I came across a photo of myself as a high school cheerleader. Today, as a birthday gift, I’ve decided to reflect and have a conversation with her.
Hey girl,
As you take a moment to reflect on the past five decades, remember how far you’ve come and the incredible strength that has carried you through. It hasn’t always been easy, but you’ve faced challenges that could have broken you. Instead, you emerged stronger, more resilient, and full of love.
Graduating from college was not just about earning a degree; it symbolized your unwavering dedication and determination despite the many obstacles along the way. There were moments of doubt, times when the weight of everything felt overwhelming, but you persevered, never letting go of the dreams you’d held onto for so long.
Marrying your high school sweetheart was the fulfillment of a dream. Together, you have built a life filled with love and shared experiences, weathering storms and celebrating milestones side by side. You brought two beautiful children into the world, and they have become the very essence of your joy and purpose.

Hold on— not all the years have been kind. The unexpected death of your little brother was a pain almost too much to handle. Just as you began to pick up the pieces, grief struck again with the loss of your mother to breast cancer at the far-too-young age of 56. She was your rock, your confidant, and saying goodbye to her brought a pain like no other. Losing your childhood best friend, Ressia, was another heavy blow. But even in the darkest times, you found the strength to keep moving forward, honoring their memories by living a life filled with purpose and love.
Over the years, you’ve encountered people who weren’t always genuine. You’ve met your share of those who put on a façade, only to reveal their true selves later. While those encounters were painful, they taught you valuable lessons about trust, boundaries, and self-worth. And through it all, you stayed true to yourself, never losing sight of who you are at your core.
At 51, you have survived heartache, grief, disappointment, and yet, here you are. You have not only survived but thrived. Today, you celebrate not just another year of life but the journey that has made you the incredible person you are.
Take pride in your journey, the love you’ve shared, the lessons you’ve learned, and the strength that has brought you to this moment. Your story is one of resilience, hope, and love.
Here’s to many more years filled with joy, growth, and the love of those who matter most.
With love and pride,
51 Rochelle
