We are a Dutch/Argentinean couple with many years of travel experience in South America. Our passion for Argentina has always been present, but grew stronger after several long trips throughout this huge country. That is why in 2008 we decided to move from Europe to Argentina and to settle in the Sierras de Córdoba. Argentina is an extremely divers country, with an incredible nature and

a very hospitable population. With our travel agency Heart of Argentina Travel we love to design your custom made trip in both Argentina and/or Chile (we added Chile as a destination after traveling extensively in that country for several seasons). We organize individual travel or group travel, all according to your wishes. Because we have a very strong local network we can offer unique, private excursions (always with English speaking guide) as well. One thing is for sure, if you travel via us you will experience the authentic Argentina or Chile. Wij reizen veelvuldig door ons geliefde Argentina, we weten dus waarover we praten. Bovendien kennen wij de meeste bijzondere accommodaties en locaties persoonlijk. Ook hebben wij Chili als bestemming toegevoegd, sinds enkele jaren reizen wij veelvuldig rond in ons buurland en we hebben gemerkt dat er veel vraag is naar combinatiereizen tussen Argentinië & Chili. Practical: the Chilean airline Sky now connects Santiago de Chile (SCL) with El Calafate (FTE) in Argentina. This is the second connection that Sky makes directly from Santiago to the Patagonian part of Argentina; the first being the connection Bariloche (BRC) with the capitol of Chile. Important: these routes only operate in the season (Mid-December to Mid-March)

This is a mushroom called Fistulina Antartica or also known as "lengua de vaca" what means "cow tongue"

You can find it in Chilean and Argentine patagonia

If you see one of these, you might think that the tree is sticking its tongue out at you.

This is a Martín Pescador (Kingfisher family) His body is robust in appearance and has a prominent beak that occupies a large part of its body, which he uses for fishing. It's a charismatic and confident species, it's not afraid to show itself and has a strident warning cry that impacts those who dont't know its song.

"Net terug uit Chili kunnen we terug kijken op een prachtige maand reizen door Patagonië. Met Jan en Lis hebben we voor de 2e keer een reis gemaakt. Dit keer Patagonië en dat heeft een geweldige indruk achter gelaten. Alles was vooraf goed doorgesproken en geregeld door Jan en daar hebben we weer van genoten. Heerlijk om zo op reis te gaan en te kunnen genieten van het indrukwekkende landschap. De accomodatie`s waren goed en gevarieerd, wij werden overal gastvrij ontvangen. Met een prima huurauto hebben we veel km afgelegd, langs de Carretera Austral en de ruta 40. We reden over allerlei soorten wegen, met de meest fraaie uitzichten. De wandelingen/hikes waren geweldig met zoveel afwisseling. Ook de gidsen in Santiago en Valparaíso waren enthousiast en goed. De hike vanaf Estancia Cristina in El Calafate (Cañon de los Fósiles) was een van de véle hoogtepunten. Lis & Jan, bedankt voor de organisatie van deze weer onvergetelijke reis!"

Whale watching cannot only be done via us in the famous Peninsula Valdés (Arg), but we now also offer this experience near Punta Arenas in Chile!

A unique full day excursion (13 hours) where you will be able to spot Humpback whales, Commerson's dolphins and Magellanic penguins. You will navigate for 10 hours from Punta Carrera, San Isidro lighthouse, Cape Froward, Cape Holland, Rupert Island, English Pass and return to Punta Carrera.

The season in Punta Arenas is from the 1st of December until the 31st of March and the navegation is subject to weather conditions.
