Aruba ta dushi…..Aruba is lovely!
This past week my family spent our spring break on this beautiful, tropical desert island.
We stayed at the Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort and Casino. Although currently under renovation, we were never inconvenienced with excessive noise or closures. Quite the opposite, the staff at The Palm Club was always accommodating and met our every need.
A small size of only 20 miles in length, we rented a jeep for a day to navigate the northern part of the island and national park. 9am-5pm and we were able to see all of Aruba. A must do! A true off road adventure with very rocky, desert terrain.
Snorkeling one day allowed us to see much of the western coast. 3 stops of mostly calm to moderate waters, many fish and one of the oldest shipwrecks in the Caribbean! A highlight of the trip!
The rest of our days were spent at the pool lounging in a cabana or out on the beautiful white sandy beach under a palapa. The sun is brutal here being close to the equator.
There are so many great dining options here within walking distance or a short taxi ride away. A true foodie’s paradise!
This is not a once and done trip for my family. The “happy island” will definitely see us again!
