Headed back to Ohio today. We’re ready. It’s been a great trip but it’s time to get home.

The last few days we’ve been able to get a glimpse of some beautiful spots down the central California coast. Our drive yesterday to Newport Beach, Crystal Cove, Laguna and Dana Point was beautiful. Don’t let the sun fool you, it’s been cold! A few degrees warmer would have been ideal but we will take some great memories home with us.

Playing catch up with my posts!

Yesterday we came, we saw, we collected some coins!

Universal Hollywood is a much different experience than its Orlando counterpart. The landscape alone is a challenge in itself. We really enjoyed the Studio Tour which only Hollywood can offer.

The highlight of the day….Mario Cart: Bowser’s Challenge! 🏎️ ⭐️. I have to admit, I was dreading this commitment when we arrived to a 180 minute wait to experience this attraction. 🥴 After winding our way up and down and around the queue, a mere 110 minutes later we were in our Mario AR helmets ready to collect coins and defeat Bowser. It was AWESOME! Universal definitely has a way of immersing you fully into an attraction.

Today we drove through Laurel Canyon, went to The Grove Farmer’s Market and drove The Pacific Highway. We drove north up to Malibu and back down to Santa Monica Pier before continuing south to our final stop in Huntington Beach. A couple more days before we head back to OH.

I love Viator! I use it quite a bit to book tours for my clients and for my own family.

Today we did a private tour of Hollywood and Beverly Hills. Our tour guide Daniel took us to the popular spots plus many places the typical tours just can’t get to. He was so engaging and really gave us a unique glimpse into the area.

Tomorrow…..Universal Hollywood! Aidan is ready conquer Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge.

Yesterday we split our day between the parks. As a group we still think California Adventure is our favorite of the two. The parks really come alive at night!

Today we’ve moved over to Universal Hollywood and will hit the park tomorrow.

We’ve made it to California. First stop during our break, Disneyland! 🏰

It was an early morning with the 6am out of Columbus. We weren’t quite prepared for the chill in the air but the sun in shining. ☀️

Without park tickets today, we walked Downtown Disney and the 3 Disney Resorts here on property.

Tomorrow we hit the parks bright and early!

My 12 year old has not idea that in about a week he will get to experience all that SUPER NINTENDO WORLD has to offer!
