One-of-a-Kind Mod Bungalow in Bora Bora – Local Art, Surreal Lagoon Views

Welcome! Here Moana Bungalow was long time in the making, and we’re finally ready to share it with guests. Here Moana is a one-bedroom contemporary bungalow suspended on a hillside high above the Technicolor paradise of Faanui. From the spacious terrace or cool air-conditioned living room, watch the mythical Lagoon below ch

ange with the colors of the day. Inside, you’ll find a completely redesigned and remodeled space (rare in Faanui) wrapped in warm wood and outfitted with top-of-the-line upgrades like an induction stove top (HOB) and telescoping downdraft cooking vent in the kitchen, a 3D television with Blu-Ray player and central air. The whole interior is cast in the glow of contemporary light fixtures and sunlight streaming through floor-to-ceiling windows. The sliding doors leading into the bedroom contain original fabric screens painted by a local artist, Arno of Rangiroa, with paints made from volcanic soil unearthed here in Bora Bora. The bedroom contains a king-sized bed draped in soft white linens and another original artwork from Arno of Rangiroa, this one of Bora Bora’s native gecko. We want Here Moana to be a laid-back, comfortable place to hang your hat in Bora Bora. We provide lots of stuff to help you fully experience the island, including two bicycles with helmets, two stand-up paddleboards with paddles, and two complete sets of snorkeling gear (fins, masks and snorkels). We also provide a washer & dryer, so you can pack your suitcase a bit lighter. Picture an evening on the terrace, the late sun glinting on the lagoon, the scent of fresh seafood from searing on the Weber grill, and the tropical gardens that surround the bungalow rustling on a cool breeze. It’s our favorite setting in the world, and we think you’ll love it, too! We’d be happy to have you at Here Moana.

"Staying at the bungalow allowed us to see the mainland of Bora Bora and how the people of Bora Bora really lived. We were able to make our own meals which definitely kept the price down on our vacation. We had a stunning view to look at each morning, day and evening.

The best advice I could give to someone looking to come here is to do what we did. Stay at this breathtaking bungalow for a few days to learn the layout of Bora Bora, eat meals at a reasonable price and enjoy the view. Then I would head to a resort and stay in an overwater bungalow for the rest of the trip."

A Bora Bora honeymoon can kick-off a marriage in an amazing way.

Have you heard about Alexandra and Nicolas of Spain? They recently ditched a traditional church wedding in favor of exchanging vows in a stylish underwater ceremony beneath the surface of a Bora Bora lagoon.
