Early riser on Saturday morning? Stop by for some fresh veggies and meats Kings Mountain Farmers' Market for your weekend cookout! Want a fresh cup of Columbian coffee? Drop into Medusa Coffee Co. in The Imperial Mercantile and browse a little. Want to do a little more shopping? Make sure to stop by The Wild Cholla and Antiques A short walk up Mountain Street will bring you to the Kings Mountain Historical Museum where you can visit "Bring Home Some Noise: The Band Heritage of Kings Mountain. Make sure to pick up tickets to the Reverse Raffle. And, also get tickets for Liberty Mountain - The Revolutionary Drama at the Joy Performance Center, coming in September. Need to walk off some of those calories you may have picked up from a visit to K Donuts with a stroll at the Kings Mountain Gateway Trail. Afterwards? Maybe lunch at Rice Thai Restaurant Kings Mountain? Need to relax after lunch? Check out the newest exhibit at Southern Arts Society, Inc. at the old Southern Railway station. The red cabooses are still there but leaving soon to new homes! Enjoy the weekend in Kings Mountain! And, opening at the end of August...Southern Artisan Spirits (home of Cardinal Gin) and Jersey Mike's Subs. Don't forget the recently opened Crave Hot Dogs & BBQ Kings Mountain, NC & & Mick's Irish Pub on Railroad Avenue.

Great place to visit, learn and meet the staff at our local military park!

The 25th of July is ! Interns play an important role with the national park service. They do all sorts of work, in a variety of different fields. Most of them are college or graduate students, though there are also those who have recently graduated. This year Kings Mountain National Military Park has been proud to have Elise White as a summer volunteer and intern for the park. Elise is a graduate student working on her master’s degree in public history, from Liberty University. She is from North Carolina and enjoys exploring the history of the region. This summer Elise has been working on all sorts of projects for the park and assisting with a variety of programs. So, if you see her, wish her luck with the rest of her studies!

Before you know it...It's the 4th of July! Make plans to attend The Revolutionary 4th in Kings Mountain!

FIREWORKS MOVE BACK TO THE DEAL PARK WALKING TRACK!

Who is ready for fireworks?

Revolutionary 4th, presented by STI Fabrics, returns to the Deal Park Walking Track, on Thursday, July 4th, and what a great event it will be. This event features music from DJ Drew Fulton and the Loch Norman Pipe Band. Children’s activities and attractions will include, inflatable bounce houses, face painting, a balloon artist, and more. Food vendors will be on hand to offer savory meals, as well as sweet concessions. Patriotic opening ceremonies will be followed by an exciting performance of the final moments of the Battle of Kings Mountain by the cast members of Liberty Mountain. At dark, one of the largest fireworks shows between Asheville and Charlotte will begin.

More surprises to be announced later. Don't forget to bring a chair or a blanket.
