Today’s the big day. All good vibes welcome ☀️🫶🏼

In some ways, we’re both ready to just get this done with. And in other ways, it’s really, really scary and something we both wish we could push back.

But there’s no more pushing it back.

I know the next week is going to be especially hard for Ben. If you feel like sending him a message with something you admire, a story you remember about him, or just general well-wishes please leave it in the comments👇🏼

While I may not be able to respond to each one, I’ll read them to him throughout the week to keep his spirits up. (Words of affirmation is one of his top love languages, so I know it’ll mean a lot.)

I know I’m biased, but Ben is truly one of the best humans out there. If you know him or have met him, you know what I mean ☺️

When people say someone will “give you the shirt off their back”, that’s literally Ben. One particularly cold winter night, he gave his Black Diamond (aka not cheap) gloves to a woman who was shivering and didn’t have any. Last summer while hiking, he poured out his entire water into another couple’s bottle because they ran out. I could go on and on with examples like this but I don’t think the IG word count would let me 🙃

He is the best dad. Nobody can make Juniper laugh like Ben when he’s giving her horsey rides or doing their version of acro or reading books in silly voices. I’m so excited for him to get back to himself so he can do all his goofy games with her.

He has endless patience (which he credits to having a last name that starts with “Zw”), he is an incredible listener, a hard worker, & is always thinking of other people. He asked me yesterday how he can make this week easier on ME. Whattt??

And he has the most positive spirit. There aren’t many people that could go into a surgery like this & joke that he’s going to ask the surgeon if the way can save all his teeth so he can make a necklace out of them 🤪🤮

I know we’ll get through this, but man, it has been a hard chapter. One we’re very excited to see come to a close.
