Bliz Travels This page is a gift to our family and friends. We want to share our travel exeriences as if We also want to share the experiences.

Not all places are created the same of course therefore we would like to share these differences with family. I may be wrong but I expect there will be some wonderful experiences as well as some hard learning ones as well. We also want to speak with others about the love of God.

High Falls State Park. There is a dam on one side of the road and then you'll have to cross the road to hit the trails for the waterfalls. We went to the lower falls and upper falls. It was a beautiful day for a hike.

Dames Ferry State Park March 2022
It's been 5 months since our last camping trip. This campground is only a couple hours from home so it makes it an easy trip. The water is very pretty. We really enjoyed kayaking this lake

We've enjoyed hanging out with our friends this weekend at Myrtle Beach. We started out Thursday night to get a jumpstart and after traveling 3 hours we stopped at a Pilot truck stop for the night. The back lot had to have over 100 trucks parked for the night. 2 reasons not to pull into the few spots we saw was 1.. the trucks run all night and we knew we wouldn't get the sleep needed for the 5 hour drive next morning. 2.. I know Brian knows how to park this thing but the spots were tight! I'm not ok with leading him backwards into a dark tunnel. I give a high five to these truckers and how they can handle those things!
We parked up front near the customer parking with other over night vehicles for the night. The temp outside was 66 during the night so it was very comfy. No a/c needed.
The second part of the drive we headed up 95 drove through some beautiful country side to get to Myrtle Beach, SC. The park is very clean and lots of shade. There is a fully stocked park store with snacks, milk, firewood and ice. The park offers over 300 sites, some small enough for tents and plenty sites that can hold your longest TT. Towards the back loop of the campground you'll find full hook up and for everyone else, self contained, there are 2 dump stations. There are a few bath and shower houses as well as laundry. Laundry is $2 for a wash and $2 for a dry. They don't have card readers so you'll need to bring your coins.
There is a nature trail, bike path, picnic area and beach. The picnic playground area near the beach is shaded by Cyprus trees and has facilities. The beach is very clean and has no life guard. There is also a foot washing station once you come off the beach.
Okay so downside is that there is an airport nearby and they have flights 6am to 12am. We love aircraft but it kinda made it hard for conversation outside. Being in the rv helped cut out some of that noise. If you are a light sleeper you may not want to tent camp here.
We went to Huntington state park and saw the Alalyah castle. I will include pictures

The RV repairs are completed! Both back roof corners had leaked and the outside wall became soft. We removed the back wall and was surprised how much water damage we had. (The inside of the rv had no damage due to waterproof vinyl wallpaper. )
Some of the wood was soft as a sponge and had to be replaced. Other areas had mold and needed to be cleaned, dried out and filled. We purchased Max GPE Epoxy to paint the dry wood and infiltrate the layers of the wall. (This is a wood stabilizer and delamination adhesive) While the back wall was off Brian repositioned the sure power plug and camera. We used deck screws on the wall and stainless steel on the ladder. We learned in our research that many rv companies use drywall screws.put 5rge This was the case of ours as well for we had some screws completely rusted and the threads were gone. ( been leaking sometime) After the wall was fixed and insulation installed we had to find a way to create a clamping system for the epoxy. The epoxy was a mess but the drying time was very forgiving for first time users. It comes with a syringe and tubing so you can lead it into hard to reach areas. Finally the wall went up ( Thank God for the help)and we replaced gutter spouts, placed Dicor self leveling and non sagging lap sealant, used corner seal tape, Red Devil gutter sealant and finally Rv Flex caulk, after the trim work was placed. Our repair was under $500. She's sealed and there will be some other prevention projects up and coming. So thankful for Brian in this heat, the time and help we had ❤ pictures are attached
