It’s not just about the snowmobiles!

Hoping to get your very first experience snowmobiling in Alaska’s winter wonderland? Fairbanks Snow Sleighers can provide with that, and so much more! The vast majority of our guests are brand new to snowmobiling and many of them come from warmer climates where cold weather and snow don’t really occur. We make sure that you are outfitted properly before each tour and provide you with snowmobile boots, snow bibs, mittens, helmet, goggles, and a balaclava. After you are outfitted, will we head outside to the snowmobiles and provide you with a safety briefing and tutorial on how to operate your snowmobile as well as getting to know the “rules of the road” for trail riding.

Our guides are experienced riders, and are patient teachers. We keep each tour group size small, so that you receive a more personalized experience. Most beginners go from novice to professional no time! Our guides are also knowledgeable about the region, and the flora and fauna. Your guide will point out wildlife and tracks from animals such as fox, lynx, snowshoe hare, ptarmigan, grouse, and moose! When we see wildlife we stop at a safe viewing distance to observe and snap some pics! Lastly, we break often throughout the tour to let you experience the winter landscape, enjoy the scenery, sip some hot cocoa, and play in the snow! Oh yeah, and our guides will be happy to take some individual and or group photos along the way!
