Yad Hashmona, the moshav where all our tour groups stay, was recently in the news for their tremendous hospitality and concern for their fellow Israelis. Love this community so much!
In an instant thousands of people had to be evacuated from their homes. The head of the Mateh Yehuda regional council called the hotel manager at Yad HaShmona — a nearby moshav populated by Messianic believers — for help in receiving evacuees.

Powerful last two days of tour with . From the Temple Mount to the Garden Tomb, the Shrine of the Book to Yad Vashem...and wrapping our time at Elah Valley/Tel Azekah where the team literally mingled with the flock (and the shepherd gave a slingshot demonstration), it's been a tremendous experience!

“The month of October breaks a historic record with an astonishingly unprecedented figure of almost half a million tourists who arrived in Israel in one month,” said Minister of Tourism Yariv Levin
If you're not going, you should be! :-)
“Incoming tourism contributes significantly to both Israel’s economy and, no less importantly, to its image,” said Minister of Tourism Yariv Levin. “I am convinced that we will continue to see the sharp rise in the number of tourists arriving in Israel, and we will end the year with another ...

A small taste of the impact of visiting Israel! And a shout out to New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary...I (Michelle) love that my seminary has such strong ties to the Land.
New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary often hosts pilgrimages to Israel. I’ve been blessed to go to Israel and see the land of the Bible for myself on two occasions.

Another archaeological find supporting the Biblical narrative. Fun stuff! (Plus, it's 2700 years old!)
The new find supports the biblical rendering of the existence of a governor of Jerusalem 2,700 years ago, says archeologist.

It's the first Wednesday of 2018! And for this week's resource, I'm sharing the Thompson Chain Reference Bible (NASB). As the New Year begins, there is no better time to commit to studying His Word. And this is a wonderful study Bible to put to use!
Check it out on our blog.

Looking for an excellent Christmas movie? The Nativity Story is it! Absolutely stunning and gloriously Bible-centered, it is one of our favorite movies. (Even if it's not really a "resource.")
It's nearly Christmas. And, while I love this time of year, it can be so easy to get swept up in all the hustle-and-bustle of the frantic holiday season. Which is why this movie is always (and I do mean always) on my to-watch list. Not only is it visually stunning, it beautifully portrays the birth

Children are a heritage from the Lord. In fact, every covenant the Lord made included the promise of children. Not only are they a gift, they are evidence of His promise!
In this week's resource, Imparting the Blessing, author William Lignon provides a scripture study on the Jewish practice of blessing children. It is a wonderful look at the power of our words and speaking blessing.
Imparting the Blessing is available on Amazon. I highly recommend it!

An absolutely heart-wrenching (in a good way) reunion story.
For those that have been to Israel and had the privilege of visiting Yad Vashem (The Holocaust Museum), this is part of the purpose of the "Hall of Names." Moving and powerful.
Eliahu Pietruszka believed his brother, who escaped Warsaw ghetto, had died in a Russian labor camp, but, generations later, a Yad Vashem genealogy project led to incredible news

It's Resource Wednesday...and our pick for this week - Sitting at the Feet of Rabbi Jesus - is up on our blog! Check it out!
For this week's resource, I am sharing Sitting at the Feet of Rabbi Jesus. In this book, authors Ann Spangler and Lois Tverberg artfully dive into the "Jewishness of Jesus" and gracefully bridge the gap between Jesus' first century disciples and his followers today. This is a wonderful res
