Infinite Radar Promotions Live music gigs in the Birmingham UK area featuring the best acts from near and far And please hit the ‘Like’ button as you do so. Please be patient. Thank you.

INFINITE RADAR is a live music promotions enterprise offering gigs in the Birmingham UK area to quality bands and solo artists both from the English West Midlands region and from the national/international circuit. We specialise primarily in alternative, indie rock, indie pop, dream pop, shoe gaze, post-rock, electronica, alt-folk and acoustic genres, though we wouldn’t rule out any genre if it’s

done well enough. We prioritise acts who might not be on everyone’s radar, but who have the potential to achieve countrywide success with the right exposure. Infinite Radar strives to play a part - however small - in expanding artists’ fanbases (and fans’ musical tastes) by carefully choosing a bill of ‘different-but-compatible’ acts for each gig in the hope that, for artists and punters alike, every concert will be a voyage of discovery and new contacts. Currently we do not put on events as frequently as some promoters, but when we do we aim for capacity audiences though the sheer quality of the music and performances on offer. And we value word-of-mouth in the physical world as much as we believe in the power of online social media. To apply for gig slots, whether as headliners or support acts, contact Infinite Radar through the Facebook messaging service. Alternatively, email: [email protected]

Include contact details and links so we can listen to your music and get back to you if we like the sound of what you're doing. We are more interested in the content of your songs and the passion of your performances than in how many Facebook 'Likes' you've racked up. We cannot guarantee to respond to every application, but will do our best. Coming soon to Birmingham courtesy of Infinite Radar: one of the hotly tipped bands from this year's Great Escape Festival, Lake Malawi. Two gigs on consecutive nights in May. Details to follow soon. News: Birmingham's Institute venue on Digbeth High Street, formerly known as Digbeth Institute, The Sanctuary and the HMV Institute, has been renamed O2 Institute Birmingham following a takeover by music corporation Live Nation UK.

Previous owner MAMA, promoter for The Great Escape Festival, Lovebox (official) was bought by LN-Gaiety Holdings in August.

The Birmingham venue, along with the recently acquired O2 Forum Kentish Town and O2 Ritz Manchester, brings the total of buildings in operation between O2 and Live Nation to 19.

Q: Will the takeover + renaming of Birmingham's Institute make a difference to how often you plan to visit the venue?

In June 2014 LAKE MALAWI were personally chosen by Jared Leto to open for THIRTY SECONDS TO MARS at their stadium gig at Prague's Tipsport Arena. Here's footage of Lake Malawi's first single 'Always June' from that gig:
