Shutter Pilots is the first company in the nation to receive an FAA approval that combines aerial imaging with 2D and 3D animation. This technology can be utilized in a variety of fields — from doing flyovers and 3-D renderings of real estate developments to capturing historic sites and reconstructing what they might have looked like hundreds of years ago. Shutter Pilots was founded by Mike Mabin,
Ed Sargeant and Alexander Mabin. Mike attended the Minneapolis College of Art & Design where he majored in film and video production. He also currently serves as the President of Agency MABU, a full-service marketing and advertising firm. Ed received a BA in Computer Visualization and Animation from Bournemouth University in England and an MA in Drawing from Camberwell College of Art in London. He is curretly the Director of Multimedia at Agency MABU and his previous experience includes working as Technical Director in visual effects for several Hollywood movies, most notably Batman Begins and Harry Potter & the Goblet of Fire. Alexander earned an MA in International Studies from Mount St. Mary's and is currently an MBA and MS in Strategic Management candidate at Indiana University's Kelley School of Business. In addition to Shutter Pilots, he also serves as the Executive Vice President of Agency MABU. Together with Mike, Ed and Alex works a team of aerial photographers, videographers and 2D/3D visualization experts who craft unique and cutting-edge solutions for clients throughout the nation. Notable clients include National Geographic and several government agencies.
