Plus it swings and squeaks when you walk on it, which is pretty scary fun!

Ok so I missed my first ever train following the conference in Brno, but thankfully the journey was only 90 minutes to Vienna, so managed to hop on another train pretty quick! OBB trains - Austria’s national rail company, which operate across Central Europe - are really good trains with comfy seats, tables and chargers, although little room for large luggage and steep steps up into the carriage, so beware of that! They whisked me to Vienna, where I used the metro to get to my apartment which was over in the west of the city. Staying a few stops from the centre definitely helps you score a bargain and I picked up this amazing apartment with a kitchen and desk space for 50€ a night! Looking forward to my first ever Vienna visit, once I’ve had some more sleep!

What train journeys look like in Scotland! 🏴 Going to climb Nevis, I took a train from Glasgow to Fort William and this is an example of the incredible views I saw out the window! Turns out this journey I casually booked for £33 is one of the most beautiful rail trips in Europe - the West Highlands Way! What a budget travel score!
