Sequoia National Park
Did you know that Sequoia is one of the only national parks you can see without a vehicle?
This is a great option for those looking to be a bit more environmentally friendly on their trip, travelers who want to save money on a rental car, or for those who are uncomfortable driving on winding mountain roads (which the park has tons of).
For those flying into Fresno, the V-Line leaves from the airport 6 times a day, and takes you right into the heart of downtown Visalia. This is the perfect place to set as your home base for the trip. Take some time to explore the city and surrounding towns, and when you’re ready to head into the park hop on the Sequoia Shuttle. The shuttle picks up 7 days per week at multiple towns in Tulare County (including Visalia, Farmersville, Exeter, Lemon Cove, and Three Rivers).
The Sequoia Shuttle will take you right into the main area of the park. From here, you can either connect to a National Park sponsored shuttle, or go on multiple popular hikes right from this drop off point.
Hickory Run State Park offers 44 miles of scenic trails, showcasing the natural beauty of Pennsylvania's Pocono Mountains. During winter, this park transforms into a breathtaking wonderland, inviting visitors to explore its snowy landscapes and discover beauty at every turn.
