Opening of the Thompson Exhibition Building at Mystic Seaport.
Another year of the Mystic Outdoor Art Festival has come to a close. Nearly 250 artists and artisans lined the streets of Downtown Mystic CT for this annual favorite. The festival, produced by the Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce, will celebrate its 60th year in 2017.
This summer, a fleet of painted mini-submarines -- each designed by a local artist -- will surface across the southeastern shoreline in honor of Connecticut's Submarine Century. Find the fleet on the CT Sub Trail app, see the fleet at the Groton 4th of July Parade and find your favorite on public display from July to October 2016.

The Mashantucket Pequot Museum & Research Center's first Native New Year Clam Bake sold out, but the Museum restaurant will now boast a new authentic Native menu created by Chef Sherry Pocknett featuring house made snapping turtle soup, venison skewers, smoked salmon, bison burgers, fish and chips, quahog fritters, frog legs and so much more!
