A half day field session focusing on identifying, harvesting and processing wild plants
This hands on field session includes the following:
- A bibliography of field guides focusing on wild useful plants
- A equipment list of the tools and equipment needed to ID and gather plants
- Handouts discussing the Dos and Don'ts of ethical foraging
- An overview of Leave No Trace techniques and ethics
- Backcountry safety techniques will be taught and utilized

Factor Earth Explore, in partnership with the Canyons & Plains Regional Heritage Taskforce and the Colorado Tourism Office, has released the latest virtual tour of one of southeast Colorado’s heritage sites, the Sand Creek Massacre National Historic Site. This tour honors the Cheyenne and Arapaho murdered and traumatized in the Sand Creek Massacre, as well as their living descendants, and reflects on one of our nation's most tragic historic places.
