I was honored to attend the reception celebrating Mrs. Vidushi Rana's appointment as the new Honorary Consul and the inauguration of the new Iceland Consulate premises in Kathmandu.

It was a pleasure to reconnect with many esteemed friends, including Their Excellencies Iceland Ambassador Guoni Bragason, British Ambassador Rob Fenn, and Norwegian Ambassador Torun Dramdal.

Special thanks to my friend Knutur Oskarsson, Honorary Consul for Nepal to Iceland, for referring me as a guest to this special event. I also extend my gratitude to Mr. Rajendra Khetan, President of the Nepal Britain Chamber of Commerce, and Kapil Dev Regmi, President of Engineers Without Borders Nepal, for introducing me to many new friends. It was another memorable evening.

I was delighted to attend the welcome reception for the Everest Marathon runners at Hotel Shanker in Kathmandu last night. It was wonderful to reconnect with friends from the UK, Australia, New Zealand & India.

A special thanks to my dear friend Mr. Rajendra Khetan ji for encouraging me to join this event as a guest, and to our dear friend Kaji Bikram ji, a descendant of Sardar Kalu Pande Kaji Sahab, for organizing such a fantastic event.

Your legendary contributions to Nepal's tourism are truly appreciated. Keep up the great work—we are always united in our support for our Nepal’s tourism.

With respect and love to all, it was an exceptional evening to cherish.

It was a pleasure to welcome to Nepal my good friends, the Mayor of London Borough Southwark, Councillor Sunil Chopra, and Mrs Varsha Chopra. They had a lovely time exploring different parts of Nepal, Pokhara, Gurkha, and Patan Durbar Square. During their visit, we discussed ways to further better the relationship between London Borough and Nepal, meeting the mayors of Lalitpur, Gorkha, and Pokhara, as well as business tycoon Mr Rajendra Khetan, President- Nepal Britain Chamber of Commerce & Industry.

Notably, they travelled the Charles Trek Path in Pokhara (Prince Charles, now King Charles the Third, trekked the same route in 1980). Many of my friends and their organisations threw lovely receptions throughout the visit, which undoubtedly strengthened and showed how close the friendship between the two nations is.

They both felt that there were many more aspects of Nepal to discover and are excited about their next visit.
