Gil was called home to be part of his Lord’s Kingdom on Sunday, April 28, 2024 peacefully in the presence of his family and under Hospice Care.
Gil was born in Madawaska, Maine and was a graduate of the Penn State College of Optometry in 1953 after serving in the US Army where he received the World War II Victory Medal.
He is preceded in death by his parents Levite Bouchard & Emelda (Beland) Bouchard, wife Maureen (Conlon) Bouchard, son Michael Bouchard, brother Dudley Bouchard, sister Yvette Cornwell. He is survived by his two daughters, Ann & Jeff Crowley of Kentucky, Mary Bouchard & Lisa Fisher of Florida, his stepchildren, Linda & Mike McSweeney and Karen Leclerc of Arizona, Edward & Beverly Levine and Rick Levine of Massachusetts, Sharon & Jim Record of North Carolina, sister Terry Merino of Arizona and brother Les Bouchard of Texas – as well as many Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Nieces, & Nephews.
Gil’s family & friends will miss this wonderful man and never forget his kind, funny, caring, smart and full of life spirit - that was infectious with whomever he connected with. Even at the age of 85, he would go to the gym, walk for hours and enjoy an occasional Manhattan to reflect on his life’s journey. His greatest gift was how much he loved his family and wanted to be with them today and in our Eternal Life.
Gil’s life will be celebrated with a Mass on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at 10:00 am at Our Lake of the Lake, Roman Catholic Church, 1975 Daytona Ave, Lake Havasu City, AZ 86403.
