My Acadian Pastime I have spent a lifetime creating crafts for others. Today, my passion continues.... ENJOY! This is where my passion for crafts began.

This page is dedicated to all the women in my family, past and present who found comfort and pleasure in creating crafts for family, friends, and complete strangers from near and afar. Growing up in a small Acadian community of Margaree, Cape Breton, most of the local women spent their summers working in the tourism industry on the beautiful Cabot Trail. Autumn came, tourist lessened, and

businesses closed down for the upcoming winter months. The clicking of knitting needles became a familiar sound in our household, as the snow fell and covered the ground. At the age of 6, my mother taught me how to knit and bake and my Aunt Rita, who lived next door taught me how to crochet. Here I am, some 50 years later, and my childhood passion continues. I hope you enjoy the pieces I have created!

Had a few visitors at my shop today...left to right...Lucy, me, Gerrie and Karen. I grew up with Gerrie, my 2nd cousin who move to BC when I was 7 yrs old. I had not seen her in 50 yrs. It was awesome to be reunited once again. A beautiful group of women who are welcomed here anytime.

I do apologize for not keeping up with this page. Because i am so busy crafting, I find it hard to spend time on the computer. But I do want to let everyone on this page know, that the woman who truly inspired me, is my mother. She is now living in a nursing home and still knitting wool socks, mittens, etc like you wouldn't believe. She is so talented! On March 29th, this coming Tuesday, she will be 95 yrs old. If anyone would like to send her BIRTHDAY WISHES or leave comments about the work she still does, I will make sure she reads them. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, we are TRULY BLESSED TO CALL YOU MOM!

Hi, I’m Angie!

This page is dedicated to all the women in my family, past and present who found comfort and pleasure in creating crafts for family, friends, and complete strangers from near and afar. Growing up in a small Acadian community of Margaree, Cape Breton, tourism has always been one of our biggest industries. Natural resourses such as yarn, wool, wood, beach glass and driftwood are used to make exceptional crafts. In the past I have created wooden sunflowers, signs, driftwood and beach glass crafts. I have hand knitted socks, mittens, touques and sweaters. I have crocheted ponchos, hats, scarves, headbands, neckwarmers and much more. I hope you enjoy the pieces I have created!
