Alaine Brooks and Mary Tebb have established New Forest Home Physio in response to the increasing number of people requesting physiotherapy within the comfort of their own home at a time to suit them.
We have over 35 years of experience between us as Chartered Physiotherapists and are competent in all areas of orthopaedic complaints. Amanda Thomson is a specialist respiratory physiotherapist who has 16 years of experience treating acute and chronic lung conditions such as COPD, asthma, bronchiectasis, pneumonia and lung injury and surgery. Amanda also has extensive experience with rehabilitation following surgery, long term hospital stay,
chronic illness and orthopaedic conditions. Conditions Treated
Injuries following trauma such as broken hips and arms. Post-surgery such as joint replacement or spinal surgery. Mobility issues including loss of confidence, difficulty with stairs and following an illness. We can advise on appropriate walking aids and exercises to strengthen you and reduce the risk of falls. Low back pain, neck pain or other musculoskeletal problems. Post-pregnancy. Rheumatological problems such as osteoarthritis, osteoporosis or rheumatoid arthritis. Pain relief using acupuncture. Acute and chronic lung conditions such as COPD, asthma, bronchiectasis, pneumonia and lung injury and surgery. Appointments
We can offer appointments at a time to suit you, including evenings and weekends. We are happy to see you in your home, at a relative’s home or in a care or nursing home with the manager’s permission. You do not have to see your GP prior to physiotherapy although, if you are using insurance, they may request that you do so.
