Our little Everly is 10 ♥️
A decade of sunshine and love. The little girl who made me a mother is growing up and I have so many mixed feelings surrounding that.
I’m sad to say goodbye to the little girl who yelled out our window “Hi, I’m three and I’m Everly what’s your name?!” to every person walking down the sidewalk. The little girl who thought she was a dragon for a solid three years. The little girl who promised me that unicorns were real and she would find one in a forest to show me.
She’s still silly, but more reserved and thoughtful. She’s helpful and is incredibly patient with her wild little brother. She’s everything and more that I dreamed a daughter would be.
Today, I feel like she is so big, but later I’ll look back and 10 will be little. So, I’ll just take extra time to look at her little freckles and lanky body and crooked smile and embrace that this will all be over and I’ll want to return to 10.
I love you my sweet, funny little girl! ♥️
Hello from Port Angeles, WA
Check out our spot in Medicine Bow National Forest! Each morning, a moose and her calf walk right through our campsite. Once, they came up right next to us and grabbed some twigs that had fallen on the hood of the van. It doesn't get much cooler than that!
Finishing up the countertops!
Vanlife update from Irving, Texas!
Day Four-completing the sub-flooring
It's day three of our van conversion and we are heading to western Oklahoma to complete the sub-flooring. We are on a roll!
This summer during our Fite Travels: The 48 we were lucky enough to spend a weekend in Columbus, OH with Micah and his super sweet family. They were the nicest of hosts to our crazy crew of 3 traveling cross country. This was 7 weeks into our trip at this point. Micah and I got to spend a fair amount of the weekend banging around on our guitars and talking everything music. It was great having that time to get to know him and his family. We enjoyed putting together a little cover while we were there!
Travel Talk Tuesday is up!
These videos will keep coming each week and our travel lifestyle is far from over. The 48 were just the beginning. Next month we will be back in Kansas City, Denver and Los Angeles. Stay tuned!
