Tis the season to look up all the pics of Harrison’s first Christmas in my phone and wonder HOW two years went by so fast?!!

So excited to celebrate Hadley’s first Christmas this year 🥹❤️🎄these are the DAYS, yall! They’re busy and exhausting and magical and looking back at these memories of H’s first Christmas season makes my heart burst with happiness. And now we get to celebrate as a family of four!!

Rosewood Las Ventanas al Paraíso (Cabo) vs. Rosewood Mayakoba (Riviera Maya)!!!! 🌴☀️

We love BOTH of these luxury resorts in Mexico, and will definitely be going back to both, but for different types of trips!!!! Here’s the gist on both AND my opinion on which is better:

✨ Rosewood Las Ventanas al Paraíso:
• Location: In the stunning desert landscape of Cabo, overlooking the Pacific.
• Vibe: Ultra-luxury & seclusion with private villas and stunning beachfront views.
• Best For: Couples and groups seeking stunning design, a prime Cabo location and top-tier service.
• Known for: Private butler service, signature tequila tastings, & beautiful design. 🏖️🍸

🌺 Mayakoba:
• Location: Set in a lush jungle along Mexico’s Caribbean coast. • Vibe: Nature-meets-luxury with overwater villas, lagoons, & vibrant tropical surroundings.
• Best For: Families, couples and groups looking for beach-front jungle vibes.
• Known for: Over-lagoon villas, beachfront suites, private boat rides, & world-class wellness facilities. 🌊💆‍♀️

MY TAKE: The rooms at both of these resorts will take your breath away. They are BEAUTIFUL. But the opening-category (lowest rate) rooms at Las Ventanas are nothing to write home about. I prefer the beachfront suites at both resorts and they are BOTH gorgeous! I loved that our room had a private pool.
Service is equally as amazing at both (always at Rosewood hotels, am I right!?) The food is SO good at both (but I might give the sliiight edge to Las Ventanas!). Pool & beach club I give the win to Mayakoba. Kids club & overall family experience I give the win to Mayakoba (but that doesn’t mean we didn’t have a great time as a family at Las Ventanas! It just seems more adult-friendly and the setting has a lot of stairs/less stroller-ability, etc!).

Which one of these hotels speaks to your travel soul?!✨

In honor of the Dubai collection here are some fav snaps of our trip there 🖤🕌

I was 5 1/2 months pregnant with Harrison when we went to Dubai & we had the absolute best time!!!! Dubai is a place where so many cultures come together around the world. It’s a place where timeless tradition meets otherworldly futurism & architecture. A place where you can spend long relaxing days in the desert sun, or long nights in a lively a sky-high scene. (And we did a lot of both). We felt electricity and inspiration everywhere in Dubai, and we couldn’t help but wonder what a KF Dubai collection could look like 👀👀

Keep an eye out for turtles! – There’s a secret cove right outside the hotel that sea turtles love to hang out in! 🐢🌊

Start your day at DUO – there’s free (delicious) Kona coffee until 9am each morning outside! We like to start our day there and then go on a coastal Waliea walk before breakfast. Then, enjoy the best breakfast ever at DUO. Their banana pancakes are LEGENDARY and a must-try!!! Have you had them? 🥞

Go to the Serenity Pool - the Adults-Only Pool on property – For a peaceful, quieter vibe, the serenity pool is the place to be. Spots at this pool can be on a waitlist, so head over there early in the day to secure your spot!

Do a Sunset Dinner at Ferraro’s– The view is unbeatable, and the chic coastal Italian menu? Even better. They recently redid the whole menu and space it is AMAZING!!! 🐟🍽️

Don’t Miss the Sunset Tiki Torch Lighting Ceremony – especially if you have kids! Every sunset, kids of all ages chase around the Hawaiian torch lighter as he welcomes the evening with a blowing of the conch shell and a ceremonial lighting of all the tiki torches on resort grounds 🌺🌅

Book Ocean Activities – Whether it’s snorkeling Molokini, a sail tour, or a complimentary outrigger canoe ride, these activities can fill up fast, so reserve in advance. 🚤🌊

Visit the Spa (It’s Heaven!) – Don’t skip the oceanfront hale’s and the unique Hawaiian-inspired treatments. 🧖🏼‍♀️ Nadine is my masseuse of choice!

Home sweet !!!!!! 🩵

Have you guys stayed here before?! Fun fact Kenny & I got married here in 2021! The best weekend ever - almost all of our friends stayed on property so it felt like adult summer camp… at the FS Maui !!!!! This place is soooo special to us, so it makes me so happy to be back in paradise - this time as a family of 4! 😍🌴🌺

Fall in Napa 🍂🍷

So excited to be back “home” in Napa for a few days, this time as a family of 4!!!! We’re taking it nice and slow this trip and I looooove this style of Napa getaway ❤️🍇🍷 Also, fall in Napa is a VIBE!

Hot take- the best season to visit Napa / Sonoma is the off season! Drinking Cabernet in sweaty 100 degrees just doesn’t hit the same as a cool fall or winter weekend spent sipping crisp cabs by the fireplace & soaking in a resort hot tub. Plus, hotel rates in off season are about half the price and it’s easier to get reservations at the best restaurants and wineries!!

FIVE benefits of a villa vs a hotel for family travel!! 🌴🌞

1. More space!!! The villa we stayed in in Cabo had a full separate bedroom for the kids and spacious rooms and endless places to play!

2. Private pool - Harrison was allllll about the private pool at our villa & the fact we could swim all day!

3. Your own private chef! Having a private chef to cook meals for your family (and cater to everyone’s different dietary needs) makes for an easy, relaxing, and luxurious vacation!

4. Laundry! Having a villa vs a hotel means you can do laundry - which is CLUTCH when traveling with babies!

5. Privacy - it’s nice having your own resort to yourselves! Especially with kids or a group of friends!

What do you guys prefer? Resort or villa?! For me it totally depends on the trip & location! Cabo has AMAZING villa options - if you want recs of all of my favorites in Cabo (including this one!), comment “VILLAS” and I’ll send you some favs!!
