When is the best time to book a cruise and get the best savings?
Early or Late?...............................BOTH!
But there are things to consider that may make one better than the other for you.

Book Early: 6-12 months before you can save on average 25-50% lower rates than published most likely advertised rates. Giving you a wide selection of itineraries, cabins, and dates. Also, the key is you can usually get better airfare and hotel stay for pre and post cruise if needed. If prices go down I am here to help you get the lower rate.

Book Late: 60-90 days before cruise date and prices drop considerable! Getting a week Caribbean Cruise for under $500 is not unheard of. The cruise lines do this to fill "remaining" space so your choice of itinerary, or cabin (forget-ah-bout it!) is not there. Plus, last minute airfare and hotels could possible kill your dream of a good deal. But...If you are willing to compromise that inexpensive last minute getaway is a very doable do.

2014 Black Friday Cruise Deals

Cruise lines are once again offering cruise deals for Black Friday on November 28, 2014. So far, several cruise lines including Royal Caribbean, Norwegian, and Princess have announced special deals that they will be offering. We will continue to update this page when other cruise lines announce what they will be offering for Black Friday 2014.

Royal Caribbean – Royal Caribbean is offering up to 20% savings on select sailings to the Caribbean and Bahamas. Includes cruises from 2-12 nights leaving from Galveston, New Orleans, Miami, Ft Lauderdale, Tampa, and Port Canaveral. Sale runs for the entire Thanksgiving week.

Princess Cruises – Princess Cruises is offering a savings up to 50% off on 3 to 5 night cruises to the Caribbean. Fares for third and fourth passengers in each stateroom will start from only $50 each. The best part of this deal that Princess Cruises is offering for Black Friday is $1 cruise deposits for cruises 5 nights or less.

MSC Cruises – MSC is offering balcony staterooms at ocean view rates, kids 11 and under sail free, and up to $200 in onboard for Black Friday.

Norwegian Cruise Line – Norwegian Cruise Line is offering up to $250 in onboard credit for cruises to the Caribbean, Hawaii, or Bahamas that are 6 days and longer. Cruises 3-5 nights will receive up to $150 in onboard credit.

Carnival Cruise Line – Carnival has not yet announced any special deals for Black Friday. However, they are currently offering Caribbean cruises as low as $109 per person and cruises to the Bahamas starting at $90 per person.

Celebrity Cruises – Celebrity Cruises has yet to announce Black Friday deals but they are currently offering a 123go all inclusive sale. The three options are a classic beverage package, free gratuities for two, or up to $300 in onboard credit.

Holland America – No deals currently announced.

Disney Cruise Line – No deals currently announced.

Azamara Club Cruises – $500 in onboard credit on select sailings. Must use the promotional code “AZA CYBER SALE” when making the cruise reservation to take advantage of this offer.

Call before you leave
So, If you plan to use a credit card while traveling to another country, make sure you call your credit card company ahead of time to let them know.
This applies to stateside travel (this holiday season) as well as out of the country travel. Many credit card security departments will lock up a credit card when making purchases outside of your normal purchasing area and it can be quite annoying when at the counter purchasing something, but ultimately good for your protection.
