Using only the highest quality materials and state-of-the-art tools, Rochester Glassworks creates and promotes functional artistry in glass based on the essence of nature and culture, mindfully designed to enhance each user's experience. We're passionate about just one thing here at Rochester Glassworks: providing the highest quality service possible. We're always looking for new ways to provide a
wider range of unique functional glass art products found nowhere else. Culture. Culture and art are inseparable. Each piece of functional glass art from Rochester Glassworks arises from primal cultural elements, memes, and values intended to create personal resonance with the user. We're surrounded by it. It’s reflected in our work; the line, form, color, motion, and life force we all experience are incorporated and visibly flow though each piece we create. Design. Innovative design is our goal. We re-invent ordinary objects, transforming them into functional art, literally breathing life into glass. Collaboration. Design and ex*****on of Rochester Glasswork creations you consign is a collaborative process between you, our design staff, and Master Artists. That combination of insight and artistry brings you pieces that are truly one-of-a-kind works of art created in glass to be used and cherished for a lifetime of enjoyment. Rochester Glassworks is the world's first Virtual Atelier, actively promoting the work of our artists to Patrons throughout the world. Artists directly benefit by being able to follow their Muse without care for the monotonous, difficult and time consuming business aspects of marketing and selling their work to the best possible customers. Patrons benefit by having direct access to many of the best glass artists in the world whom they can engage in creating works specifically tailored to their needs and desires. Everything old is new again... It's so true. There was a time when artists could apply to work in an atelier (workshop) under the tutelage of Master Artists with financial support of a Patron. Some of the benefits of this relationship were a relatively guaranteed income for the artist and the ability to focus their time and energy developing their skill and style. A drawback for the artist in this system was some loss of creative freedom, having to produce on command, creations at the direction of their Patron. Artists are now "free" to follow their Muses but are also forced to find willing and able customers to purchase their creations. Creative Muses frequently shrivel and die when confronted by the harsh realities inherent in running a business. Following your Muse (and being recognized and commensurately paid while doing so) without financial concerns is the ultimate goal of most artists. Yet, without a patron or becoming recognized, few are able to realize that goal and so are condemned to attend to all of the aspects required to run and administer a business. Unfortunately, while doing what they least like to do (run a business), they are not doing what they love to do, create beautiful works of art. Meanwhile, Patrons (collectors and connoisseurs) are faced with a sea of potential purchasing possibilities from brick-and-mortar galleries to the vastness of the Internet. Too many choices frequently equates to no choice at all, the result of information overload. Actively promoting the interests of both these parties is the primary function of Rochester Glassworks. We actively seek new talent and promote our existing artists to cultivated Patrons with whom we have established relationships. This process is labor intensive but results in bringing together the finest Artists with the finest Patrons to create lasting, productive relationships. Contact us today to find out how we can promote your work as an artist or supply you as a Patron with the most unique and creative work possible, created just for you. We know you'll be satisfied because providing premium service is our business.
