Our clients shared these incredible shots of their Walking Wild experience at Lewa Wilderness in Kenya 🇰🇪

Walking Wild is an amazing opportunity to walk through the wild natural habitats of northern Kenya encountering the abundance of wildlife that co-exists with the Maasai and Samburu communities.

Operated by the local Masai community, who are also are equitable partners in the operation. Both Massai and professional safari guides walk clients through the bush from camp to camp, while camels transport the luggage. Eating out and sleeping in netted tents under the stars is a truly magical experience - completely immersed in nature and learning from guides with a lifetime of experience and knowledge of the area and its wildlife.

Taken at one of our long-time partner camps, Ol Pejeta Conservancy in Kenya, this image reflects a groundbreaking moment in history and gives us great hope for the future of Northern White Rhino.

There are only two Northern White Rhinos remaining in the world, both female (Najin and Fatu), and are protected 24/7 at Ol Pejeta. However, scientists recently achieved the first rhino embryo transfer using IVF. Though the surrogate mother tragically died from an unrelated infection, a necropsy revealed she was indeed pregnant.

This bittersweet success proves the science works—and gives hope for the future. The BioRescue team plans to transfer a northern white rhino embryo into a surrogate in 2025, a step that could save the species from extinction. Optimism drives this effort forward and we are forever grateful to our partner Ol Pejeta Conservancy for taking on the immense reponsibility of protecting this incredible species.

We’re living vicariously through our clients Jim & Cindi, spending time with Craig the elephant at Amboseli National Park in Kenya🐘🫶

Craig is one of the most famous “super tuskers” in Africa, known for his enormous tusks that almost touch the ground. These magnificent elephants are exceedingly rare, with only a few left in the wild.

Craig’s home of Amboseli National Park is a renowned stronghold for African elephants and one of the best places to see big tuskers.🌍
