On 13th October, the Chamber of Commerce of Corfu hosted the final event of the Project Cooperation European tourist CETA (Cross-border electronic Exchange for the tourism business accommodation units: information services to match offer and demand).
Dr. Mario Laforgia, As President of AICAI Special Agency of the Chamber of Commerce of Bari Lead Partner of the Project CETA, thanked all the project partners for their work and the excellent results achieved. After speaking of the worldwide data on the entire tourism spin-off that , only in 2014 , earned well 7.6 trillion dollars, equivalent to 10% of global GDP (WTTO), Mario Laforgia thanked the President of the Chamber of Commerce of Corfu George P. Chondrogiannis for their hospitality and for their cooperation as partners in order to operational phases of the Project. Laforgia and Chondrogiannis at the end of the Final Event, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding that aims to maintain the standard of quality of tourism cross-border area even after the end of the project and commits the signatories to support and develop the project CETA. Besides Mario Laforgia and George P. Chondrogiannis intervened in order for the AICAI Dr. Ida Borrelli (Project Manager Project CETA) and the Chamber of Commerce of Corfu Dr. Dimitris Aggelis.
An exhibition of a folk group of Corfu delighted the audience together with the Apulian folk group "Sciamaballà". The twinning between the two cultures is also explained by the gastronomic point of view. In addition to typical Greek present they were able to enjoy the most representative dishes of Puglia, prepared for the occasion by chef Gregory Mastonardi, Arianna Teresa Palmisano and Nitti.
