I've been struggling to pump out any meaningful blog posts due to a demanding bike tour schedule and thankfully not too many rainy days behind the computer the past few months.
Here's my quick attempt at one now to let you know that I am in fact still here!
Thank you to all the friendly faces that have jumped on the 'mamachari' bikes the past couple of months and been kind enough to leave a review of the Tokyo West-Side Cycling & Food Tour.
Looking forward to seeing both old and new faces trickling in for the coming snow season, it's shaping up to be a bumper year!
I hope you've all been enjoying the relatively cool start to the Tokyo summer, at least compared to last year!
I'll be taking a break from bike tours and bike rentals over the hottest month of AUGUST this year but will be raring to go again in SEPTEMBER once things start to cool down.
All of DIG Tokyo Tours booking calendars are up-to-date from September onwards. If you can spot the availability it's still up for grabs and it'd be brilliant to see you over this side of town.
If you're over here in August enjoy the stay! The Koenji Awaodori, neighbourhood firework displays and Tokyo's vibrant summer festival scene will all be in full swing. There's also Okutama, Mt Takao, Karuizawa and the beach side bars of Kamakura, a short train ride out of Tokyo, if you're looking for an escape from the heat and humidity.
Thanks as always for the support and I'm looking forward to blasting around streets of Tokyo with everyone again in September!
Enjoy your summer / (winter) break!
Andy

I'll be cycling Taiwan over the 2024 Golden Week period, Sat April 26th - Mon May 6th.
Email communications will be as usual, if not a bit sporadic, but no rides or walking tours will be taking place over the Japanese holiday period.
Enjoy the festivities and vibrant crowds during the holiday season and I'll be back at it again from May 7th.
Looking forward to seeing you all out on the bikes in the early part of May!
Cheers,
Andy

Thanks everyone for the support and positive word of mouth throughout the 2023-2024 snow season. It's been an absolute blast getting to know all the families and intrepid travellers passing through Tokyo to and from the mountains.
Just a quick reminder to get in there and secure your spots on the Tokyo West-Side Cycling & Food Tour for the 2024 Tokyo Cherry Blossom Season. Vacancies on the bike tour are filling up fast but there is still scattered availability.
I apologise in advance but I won't have the capacity to operate the Walking and Street Food variant or the Classic Road Bike Tour over this busy period.
If you can't find your ideal date or time be sure to say hello and I'll do my best to squeeze you in somewhere or at the very worst put you on the wait list. Travel plans change and it's not uncommon for individuals and groups to dropout so keep an eye on fresh availability popping up on the booking calendar closer to the travel dates.
So secure your booking, lace up your sneakers, jump on a bike, and let the magic of Tokyo's cherry blossoms unfold around you.
Just make sure you don't miss out on your blooming ride, it'd be great to see you over here in Tokyo!

Loosening your belt buckle and discovering the mouth-watering cuisine, urban landscapes and boisterous ‘yokocho’ of the inner-west on an intimate walking and street food tour.
Riding Tokyo’s hidden alleyways, congested sidewalks and tranquil riverside bicycle paths on a Japanese classic road bike, meticulously handcrafted by a master frame builder.
Pulling up a bar stool at a hole-in-the-wall izakaya along the atmospheric JR Chuo Line and rubbing shoulders with inquisitive locals over a beer and a fistful of yakitori skewers.
Bouncing between family-friendly neighbourhood attractions on a Tokyo family bike tour or more accessible walking and street food experience.
Or just opting for a private ride or tailored outing on this vibrant side of town and letting DIG take care of the rest.
