Happy Wildlife Wednesday

One of my most popular gator photos. Yes, that is the suckermouth armored catfish you see in most aquariums. Enough got set free in Florida that there are endless amounts. The armored skin makes it hard for any of our Florida animals to eat them, even alligators. So, these catfish just keep breading and breading. Keep doing what you do alligator and thanks for helping to do your part as our apex predator.

We stayed beach front in Ormond Beach over the weekend. Our daughter was running at Embry Riddle and this was only about 8 miles away. The beachfront hotels are much cheaper in that area.
The property was nice but I like the beaches on that coast just north a bit better. (Not as much as south beach of course but as for NE Florida beaches anything north of Ormond to Anastasia is pretty nice IMO.
How do you feel about cars on the beach? Personally, I’m not a fan. Also watched one get pulled out that was stuck in the sand.

I love Florida beaches.
But I also love many of the Caribbean beaches I’ve been to. There’s just no place in Florida with a “Caribbean like” beach. The Keys is the closest because of the water but still not the same because the Keys doesn’t have great beaches (great sand bars though!).
